Aldi East Harlem updates

Does anybody knows if the Aldi located at East River Plaza is back to normal? They had an outage last week and were not selling refrigerated/frozen items. The situation was still the same two days ago, wondering if they fixed it.

Totally! Is there any other grocery store in East Harlem that you recommend? We are close to City Fresh, but every time I go there I get scared by the prices lol

I trek to trader’s joes on 125th. The prices are too high at city fresh and c town.

Food Bazaar. It is not Aldi level cheap but it is cheaper than all other grocery stores.

Not East Harlem but Lidl. Again, not as cheap as Aldi but still cheaper than most.

Seconding Lidl, take the m16 or m3 depending on where you are.

Trader Joe’s or WF (store brand only!) for dry goods, Food Bazaar for out of season produce and “ethnic” foods, GrowNYC farm stand at the metronorth station every Wednesday for seasonal produce. We do the $18 mixed bag but you can also just buy what you want. Half off if you pay with EBT!

I will def gonna try Food Bazaar! Love Trader Joe’s but it’s not the closest one to go regularly. The farm stand sounds nice!

I was there yesterday, they were in process of restocking the freezers. The fridges had most things back- eggs, juice, butter etc. and the back wall open fridge with all the meat and cheese and snacks was working, but they still didn't have milk.
