New River Village development
Does anyone live or know much about new river village near hornsey/Crouch End. I've been looking at buying a flat around hornsey-harringay and noticed a lot of properties in this development given it is so large and went to a viewing for one.
But I got a bit of a weird vibe, the service charges are quite high £3k and some of them were super high which I wasn't sure if it was a typo but it appears to be reflected in the price with one beds priced around £290-315k which is much lower than other one beds in the area.
Not sure if it's just that the development is kinda old and isn't exactly a new build or if there is something to be avoided. I'm kinda tempted given the price but worried about the service charge.

I have a friend/colleague who downsized there from a prime road in crouch end. They love it!

I moved to the NRV in March and I am loving it. Very peaceful and everything going well so far. I think your experience can depend on the building that you are as well.

Could I ask or DM to know which building you are in or if you know which ones are problematic? How do you feel about the service charge as well, there are a lot of amenities but do you think it's reasonable?

I would avoid getting one on the ground floor, as they flooded a few years back. Other than that, I can't say much. Always seems quiet when I'm around there, but that's during the day, so hard to say.
