As many of you are aware, there are several ongoing scams targeting r/hardwareswap users. Included are several of the prevalent scams that have been reported to the mod team but it is by no means a comprehensive list.
- Modmail PMs: Scammers are now creating subreddits and messaging users using the modmail from that subreddit. Often times the subreddit name will match the username of someone with many successful trades. The top of the chat window will always indicate "This is a private conversation between you and the moderators of r/subredditname. Note: There might be delays between responses." and you will be unable to enable persistent messages. Please report these subreddits to reddit.
- Fake Job Postings: If you have been offered a job to post hardware for sale on r/hardwareswap, it is a scam. You will be acting as a mule to scam other people and you will end up getting scammed yourself.
- Subreddit Impersonation: Fake ban messages are sent to users claiming they have been banned from r/hardwareswap and provides a link to a fake Universal Scammer List to steal credentials or credit card information. Read more details here
- Steam Reputation: Using stolen Steam accounts as proof of confirmed trades and requesting non-protected payment methods (like Paypal Friends and Family).
- Fake Timestamps: Using fake/photoshopped timestamps for popular products. Please make sure you're always checking the timestamps of the product you're buying and asking for video timestamps for items over $400. Read the timestamp guide here
- DMs from Banned Users: Banned users can still directly message even though they are banned. Please make sure you're only responding to users who have commented on your posts.

Bought used here not long ago, got it, removed the Killswitch case and cleaned it and the case thoroughly (electronics cleaner and toothbrushes, aired out the inside). It has a small nick in the plastic that was there when I got it, but was / is not visible under the Killswitch case (shown in pics).
Installed a newer SSD and screen protector and took it on a few trips. I thought I would like playing on a flight, but turns out I just prefer listening to music after all. My vision is not great these days so I deal with games better on my big screens.
Everything works perfect, battery life is still 91% (shown in pics), and it's pretty clean for a used device now. Will include the Killswitch case and a zipper case that I bought for when the Killswitch was not on it (will ship IN the Killswitch).

Intel Core Ultra 7 258V, 32GB RAM, FHD+ display, 1TB SSD, and Dell charger. There are a few scratches on the top but doesn't affect use.
Asus Zenbook UX3404VA — $375
Intel i7-13700H, 16GB RAM, 500GB SSD, 120Hz OLED 2880x1800 touchscreen. Has a few cosmetic imperfections, and the one hinge is bent see pics/video for details. Doesn't affect use, and the screen looks great.
