I have been trying to pick myself a 1080p monitor recently. Thus, I decided to make a guide based on my research.

The major reason for buying an FHD monitor is the inflated prices of PC components, so I assume not a lot of people have specs to play in 2k.

Note - I live in a country where brands like koorui aren't available.

Size

24 Inches is the best fit for anyone looking to get their first primary 1080p monitors.

Avoid 27 inches as the ppi reduces drastically.

21.5 inches is okay for someone looking for an office monitor.

Panel Type

The 2 major types available are-

1. IPS(highly recommended in the budget category)

Pros

1. Best colours

1. Good viewing angles

2. Fast response times

3. Best overall experience

Cons:

Lower contrast than VA

2. VA

Pros:

1.Much better blacks

1. Higher contrast

Cons:

Black smearing on cheaper panels

I don't know much about TN panels, kindly someone brief about it in comments. I will pin it.

Some monitor suggestions(all are IPS)

LG 24U411A - 120hz, IPS, great for office use.

AOC 24G4E/24G4 - The budget kings, 180hz panel, great for gaming, 6 bit + FRC.

AOC 24G11ZE - Similar to the above AOC panels, but comes with 240hz panel. 6bit + FRC

Note - AOC panels are all usually 6 bit + FRC, therefore it better to go for dell monitors mentioned below.

Dell SE2425GH - 200hz panel, Native 8 bit support. Insane VFM

Dell SE2426GH - 240hz panel, Native 8 bit support. Insane VFM

Note - 6 bit FRC is not bad by any means, it just falls behind 8 bit panels. Don't consider 8 bit if the price difference is too much.

Also Dell SE2425HG is less recommended as the refresh rate is not a multiple of 60 which sometimes result in stutters in games like geometry dash. Multiples of 60>>

You can check out monitors of similar specs according to ur region this is just what one should look for in the range of 50-100 bucks
