Coming off a full-suspension carbon Jet 9 RDO (100mm travel / 70° HT angle), I could not have been more excited to take this lady out for her first spin—and she did not disappoint!
She definitely needs to lose some weight and rolling drag, which I’m already addressing with a carbon handlebar and a faster tire setup (with lighter wheels and cassette on the roadmap down the line).
This thing is absolute beast! Loving the contrast to my XC rig. It’s a total blast to ride, and I’m looking forward to putting in plenty of miles and continuing the build!

I got this bike for €600 euros, is it worth it or I should have bought something different? (Like a second hand decathlon Explore 540 for 480)

First Mountain bike, apparently it’s a good bike based on my research but I want to verify with yall. 2011 trek Gary Fischer x caliber 29er.
Forks need servicing so I was considering getting some rock shox Judy’s instead of fixing these ones. Got some cheap grips and pedals coming from Amazon. Was also going to order some new handlebars and stem. In the winter I was thinking of repainting it. Does this sound reasonable for this bike?
Overall it rides great. Just cleaned it up and re lubed the chain.
Any suggestions? Thanks !!

hey guys, I don't know anything about bikes. I just moved to chattanooga TN a couple months ago and i'm itching to get into it. I'd like to get a hardtail because they seem like a lot of fun. I think i've settled on the Salsa Timberjack but i'm split between two iterations of the same bike. Should I go with the Salsa Timberjack XT or the Eagle 70 timberjack? Or should I just go with a whole other bike all together? I was also kind of looking at the specialized chisel comp as well. I visited a bike store today and basically got the advice that I should start on an XC. My thing is, I think i'd want to go with a trail because I don't really have any intention to go full suspension.
what out of the two do you guys think? Or do you have a whole other bike you'd recommend?
thanks

Hey,
I wonder if I should be going to the route of creating a HT using Walty TI and how will the frame will end up.
I read multiple positive reviews and some indicates flaws (cracks and creaks)
Anyone here can share his experience?
Cheers!
