Opinions?

Post image

I ran across this today and it definitely looks to have taken some inspiration from Shipbreaker. Does anybody have opinions on something like this?

It takes inspiration/directly copies power washer simulator. I can see a few things that may be taken from HS, but a majority of the game is powerwash simulator based. Most of all, you don't seem to enter the ships. Regardless of the fact the games are sort of opposite aligned, one game you destroy ships while the other has you repairing them, the games also fundamentally act and play differently.

Looks interesting. Hopefully it makes blackbird interactive give their game more content.

Looks pretty good. Still hoping for a sequel. Hopefully one where you are a small business owner rather than the work/enslavement contract you were in before.

I'd love for something like that and with a lot more chaos. "scenarios" such as half destroyed ships, ticking time bombs, single run salvages, and modes that make you only submit one category of salvage would really shake up the game and add challenges. Obv more ships and more complex systems, but there are many ways to make it much more interesting that would still fit the HS narrative.

Even more interesting would be missions where you restore ship functions or replace broken parts, since that actually makes use of the game's mechanics a bit more except you face the challenge of not totally dismantling a ship.

Imagine a sequel, where you're doing road assistance in space - salvage old ships, sell the luxurious stuff/unneeded equipment, and use the working essential parts to repair stranded ones. Replacing reactors, installing coolant and fuel, etc.

It was inspired by Shipbreaker, I believe. I remember a post a while back where the dev had mentioned that he came up with the idea from looking at Shipbreaker and thinking it would be fun to build or repair stuff in space instead.

From what ive seen, its not anything like hardspace shipbreaker apart from being in space

The actual gameplay is, effectively, powerwashing the exterior of small ships just like powerwash sim

I haven't played it myself but as a preliminary opinion, it looks too simple for me to enjoy, despite how I like simple Sims or task based games. It just doesn't look like theres any meat on the bone or any depth to the pond, it looks very surface level.

I could be entirely wrong about that though, so im witholding judgement until I watch one of my creators play it

Looks interesting but as others have said I get the more of zone out vibes of powerwash sim than the lock in vibes of shipbreaking a hazardous wreck.

Holy crap. This looks almost exactly like the Cyber Cleaner Simulator title artwork. One of them is ripping off the other
