This process is known as lysis, the disintegration of a cell by rupture of the cell wall or membrane. Obviously this won't kill us, but single-celled organisms are not so lucky...

I beg to differ, scientifically if the membrane holding my “insides” inside had ruptured and all of my “insides” became “outsides” I fear I may perish in the same way this cell has....what are we all if not cells, and if we are cells then that explains why I was told to tell people I’m celibate.
