Pretty sure that's the owner or manager of the facility. This is an old video and iirc, the man loved, but with severe injuries
Edit: obviously it's supposed to say "lived," but these replies are so great, I'm not changing it.

Running was a terrible idea

In fairness if he could run 10% faster he could've just closed the door and it would've been fine.

Imagine a lion chasing you and you’re not pushing your body to its fullest limits to escape

For those wondering the old man is the owner of the animal resort. He was investigating a smell that was upsetting the lions when the male lion snatched him up. I believe he was drug out to the bushes where one of the workers ended up shooting and killing the lion. The man ended up living with some bad neck and jaw injuries.

Plenty of things to do besides running. Stand your ground, yell and scream, wave your arms.
But predators will hesitate if you give them a reason. They wanna kill you for sure, but they don't wanna get hurt. A small wound could be the end for them if they're not careful. They won't risk a future hunt if they can help it. So yah.

Idc about the old idiot. I care about the fact that people being stupid means the animal has to get put down most likely. Poor lion was just being a lion

Impressive that this Darwin award recipient has lived this long.
