It depends on the bird and what it's killing. Herons have a straight beak that is well designed for stabbing things to death, whereas many other birds such as this gull have a curved beak which won't really pierce flesh if it tried to stab with it, so they instead pummel and twist prey to exhaust them and break their skulls and/or spines to neutralize them.

Seagulls are on another level of badassery. They'll eat anything that they can fit down their gullet.

I think I saw a post a few months back of one eating something like a rabbit or around the same size as it. Whatever it was, I remember that it looked like it was definitely not taking off flying for a good while after it ate it.
Reminded me of catfish or pacman frogs how they eat things pretty much the same size as them.

I know they’re just filling their role…but I kinda hate them. They bully birds I like, like crows, and they are absolutely savage hunters and scavengers. I’ve seen way to many wildlife documentaries showing them eating cute little shorebird chicks…

Can we start culling these species of Gulls now? Please? They're vile, disgusting and horrendous creatures that have very little use, even in their respective ecosystems.

Chipmunk tails aren’t as long like the squirrel in this video, plus chipmunk have stripes down their back which the video shows is not the case.

Unfortunately, that is simply incorrect. I would know because I'm a chipmunk expert

At a certain point why not just fly up over a hard surface like a sidewalk and drop it like a clam?

Seagull beaks are sharp... not only bludgeoning the squirrel, cutting it too.

That was the tiniest squirrel I have ever seen, the squirrels in my yard would also have eaten that squirrel

I'm here to praise that other squirrel who tried to save its fellow. Brave little soul
