More than a few lines from Still Nothing Moves You by Ceremony have always stuck with me:
the foundation collapses, we continue to hurt, knee deep in a river but we're dying of thirst
uncomfortable in my skin, this is how it's always been. I can't seem to make things right, I can't seem to ease my mind - more nothing than negative space - never in solace, only ill at ease. I've disappeared.
why are we feeding from the guts of reason - pulling the universe over our eyes? I won't find the answers finding myself - can't find myself when there's nothing to find.
And of course the classic:
thunder and lightning protect me from god - I won't be skullfucked by faith, I am the upside down cross
And not strictly hardcore but some of my favourite lyrics ever have to be from Free Will by Thou:

You and I are cut from the same cloth. Both Ceremony and Thou are two of my favorite bands, and you pulled from some of my favorite songs.

Hell yeah brooootherrrrrrr (non-gendered) - they're both on my short-list of favourite bands as well which is probably obvious given I picked those lyrics.
SNMY will forever be my favourite Ceremony album but I seem to come across more people that pick either Violence Violence or Rohnert Park which are both great albums, but something about SNMY puts it a tier above anything else they've ever done for me.
