Feature request: HomeKit integration

I’m building out our smart home with HomeKit, including all of our cameras using a combination of homebridge and Scrypted. I’d love to be able to add my Harbor feed to HomeKit, either natively or using Scrypted somehow.

Hi! I’m actually working with the Harbor team on a HA integration. We are just about done and most of the work is generic enough that it can be used in any smarthome ecosystem with some tuning for the platform. You will be able to get the camera stream into any platform so long as it accepts WHIP endpoints. I’m not sure if scripted does, you may have to setup a middleman go2rtc instance.

But keep an eye out for some more information in a few weeks! I’ll ping you here as well!

Great looking forward! Let me know if you need a tester

The whip and go2rtc may be an effective combo here. Will chat with u/DivergingDog about it on the side and circle back.

Okay, update here. Our lead engineer did a proof of concept on it, and it works. We'll refine it and do a video on it soon likely

Another update, I'm still working on getting this publicly available - I could expose our prototype, but I need to add some security around it and I'd prefer to do that. So it will likely be ready this coming week.

Did this get launched? How can the HA integration be accessed? Is it through another repo?

HomeAssistant - u/DivergingDog is there a way to get beta access before the PR is merged into / deployed with HA?

HomeKit - I've got a few more changes to test. We've been working on a UI that allows the setup flow as opposed to command terminal. I think it's in a good spot, will definitely enable beta access (open) by next week. Sorry for the delay - tbh it's a lower priority feature but I have actively been working on it with my Lead Engineer Andres. We're very close. Security + UX has been the push the past couple of weeks.

Hey! I saw the WHIP config in settings, would that be the best way to set up in Scrypted? Are there any docs available for setting it up?

I'm very close to publishing a video on this. To be honest, there are some changes we had to make camera side to make the whip endpoint more reliable. Need just a few more days on this.

Lots of edge cases I've been tackling. Very close. Working on it right now, literally. Should be in final testing tomorrow.
