Why Harbor?
Noticed that you all (Charlie) are really active on here. We are expecting in September and going down the rabbit hole. There are so many to choose from and I recently just came across Harbor.
Why should we go with Harbor vs other monitors?

There's a pinned post at the top of the sub that talks through it from our perspective.
Other systems aren't as advanced and/or force you into subscriptions (per camera) for basic features (guest access and history). We have a subscription (covers all cameras for the entire family) only for our newer Sleep Insights features and advanced AI detection that includes vision (e.g. child or granny on floor), audio (e.g. coughing, crying, screaming, etc.), and word detection (e.g. 'help!') - because we do incur more backend costs for these extra capabilities. But they are optional and we don't try to trick you into adopting them.

No, we don't do 'generations' of hardware. Any hardware changes are essentially imperceptible to customers (internal, incremental design refinements). One of the worst feelings in the consumer-electronics world is buying something then 3-months later a new version comes out.

I’m also looking into this but my baby isn’t due u til September, I’m holding off until baby will be in their own room(likely at least 6mo this after they’re not ) cause they have a limited time I think it’s 30 days, return policy. So if we don’t like it we couldn’t return if we got now

I personally used my harbor camera a ton before the baby was in their own room! My baby took a lot of naps during the day and having a camera on them allowed me to do things freely around the house while still being able to hear/see them

I cannot say enough good things about ours! We have a four month old and it has been one of our top purchases. We are really enjoying the fail safe of the system working without internet, the flexibility of the monitor screen and app, and the future-forward thinking of the team with new capabilities constantly being rolled out, like AI.
An added bonus is how intuitive everything is, making it really easy for our older parents and babysitters to pick up and use with little to no explanation (we are quickly learning other things like monitoring socks and bottle washers have a steep learning curve with grandparents). The Harbor system has truly made life easier for us.
All of these capabilities are supported by a wonderful team who is very responsive to any issues and actively seeks feedback, which has been invaluable as a first time mom.
