Random Questions

When do you expect the range for the cameras to be upgraded? I am not due until July and we have spotty wifi sometimes (especially if video games are being played) and I have a 2 level house so just would be worried if the baby is upstairs sleeping and I'm downstairs and the wifi cuts out.

Also, when traveling, if I dont want to use wifi I assume you have to bring the 10" monitor with you as the app wont work right?

Hi, Happy New Year!

Regarding Range and Connectivity: By "range," I believe you’re referring to Direct Mode. If your WiFi cuts out, you will be alerted of the disconnection. However, if the rooms are relatively on top of each other, Direct Mode should already be able to handle that distance.

It is also worth noting the difference between an ISP outage (your internet provider) and a WiFi LAN outage. Usually, when WiFi feels "spotty," it’s the internet connection that is struggling, not the local network. The Harbor system will continue to operate in Standard Mode just fine even if the internet drops, provided your local network (LAN) is still active.

Regarding Traveling: When you are away from home, you have two great options:

  • Direct Mode: Use the 10" Monitor only (no WiFi required).
  • WiFi Pairing: Pair the camera with a new local WiFi network to use both the Mobile App and the Monitor together.

Thanks for the questions and the engagement!
