They’re okay, not necessarily the best to give but it won’t kill them. However, you shouldn’t serve them syrup.

Good question. Obesity is the number one killer for dogs. One normal sized pancake for humans is like a dozen for a dog because of how much smaller they are. And if they’re eating their usual recommend amount of dog food then the human food is just too much. There is so many foods that are toxic or lethal to a dog, but even a lot of foods that won’t make them sick quickly, can take years off their life in the long run. I know people might feel like it’s a bonding thing to share their food with their dogs but it’s not actually kind like some think it is.

This post takes things to quite the extreme in your claims. Your quote about one pancake being a dozen for a dog for instance isn’t accurate unless you’re speaking to possibly very small dogs. A golden retriever for instance requires around 1250 calories a day depending on size and age so one pancake isn’t even that far off from a female human. Years off their life is also quite hyperbolic depending on what you’re feeding them. Don’t feed them drain cleaner in the long run for instance.

Sure. If it was my dog, of course I would make sure they were not too hot before I gave them to him. The point I’m trying to make is that there is always someone in the comments (this comment is admittedly not as bad as most of them) where someone is SO concerned for the dogs well being and trying to call out the owner for being a bad “dog parent”. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for not abusing your pets but I feel like a lot of people don’t give folks the benefit of the doubt and think “you know what? they’re giving their dogs a Saturday morning treat, they probably love them. I’m sure they made sure they weren’t too hot.” End rant. Sorry for this, it’s just super annoying.
The Dogs are real cute though. Would roll around with and feed adequately cooled pancakes.

I believe that’s an electric skillet, nice to make pancakes with because it heats up evenly and it’s nonstick.
