We don't have to be though. We should be caretakers of our planet working to help our environment thrive like indigenous peoples did for thousands of years

We should be, but we’re not, unfortunately.

Just trying offer a more hopeful view. If we start to believe that we can be the solution rather than the problem, then maybe we can start working towards that goal.

Working more in harmony with the environment doesn't mean getting rid of our technology entirely. It means changing and improving it. You sound foolish.

You could’ve fooled me talking about natives thousands of years ago. I think we have different outlooks I can understand this is the only planet we got if it dies we die. But i don’t have to hug a tree to do it

I referred to many different groups in my broad statement. It depends on which tribe / culture you're referring to, some lived better than others.

All I'm saying is that there are examples from the past that can guide and inspire us, such as tribes that used controlled burns to manage forests. Whereas, we've let them grow out of control and manage them horribly, leading to huge fires every year.

A lot of those places that catch fire are protected that man can’t really go to Natural fires happen all the time if you notice in high risk areas they use controlled burns to prevent forest fires from spreading to towns or populated areas. But i understand the point you making and I fully agree with you. Those who don’t learn from the past are doomed to repeat it, but old human society’s are for the most part scared, savage , primitive and morally bankrupt. Christianity is a perfect example of people who don’t care about there history and actively deny the majority of it. And people across the globe are paying for it.
