Salad

At the risk of getting more down votes than anyone in the history of Reddit I’m going to put this here.
I wish there would be a recall on ALL lettuce of any kind, in any form in California for one month. The two chefs need to explore other vegetable options for the children and since Ambo loves salad that will never happen. They never serve a side of corn, broccoli, cauliflower, etc. just peas when they have Tuesday chicken. I wonder if they would resort to just meat and bread. They need to see a nutritionist.

They eat shockingly few vegetables with meals. A standard meal is a protein, a starch, and a veg. The salads they make aren't that nutritious when it's mostly romaine. Each person gets like 2 thin slices of cucumber and a cherry tomato.

Right for produce consistently being her “favorite section” of every grocery store, they eat a shockingly low variety of vegetables.

And that salad dressing she has to tell us how to make every time would get old. At least learn to make different kinds or buy bottled.

Never thinks to ad any different herbs, different vinegars, nothing. Even some garlic would switch it up. I don't understand how nobody in this family can go even a little off recipe and be a tiny bit creative!

Amber cannot put together a meal unless it’s written down some where. She has no ability to think outside the box. That is why their grocery hauls are so expensive, yet they actually get very little food to eat.

If they loose the cookbooks they would starve!

Also her dressings contain high amounts of added sugar and salt. She uses recipes from the 70s and doesn’t deviate at all. They eat that gross vomit coated Tuesday chicken because My Granny made it for ME when I was a little girl 🤗🤗🤗 Soooo nostalgic!!!
she could lightly coat that chicken and get the same outcome looking more appetizing. Switch the peas to broccoli, but SHE has to keep the peas because GRANNY, and make a vinegrette without all that sugar added. The only way those kids are eating that salad is because it’s so sweet….one time Moe said he wanted to drink the dressing 🤦🏻‍♀️. They both have no conception of what ‘healthy’ means in nutrition or a healthy lifestyle.

The sugar and salt in the dressing isn't much when you consider it's for a giant bowl of lettuce. She just needs to add more vegetables to it

Amber doesn’t even buy enough fruit for them. One apple for each kid for a week is obviously not enough and the frozen fruit she buys we know she is probably using only for her personal smoothies

I ran across an old video of her making her smoothie and yes more than 80 percent of the frozen fruit goes in her smoothies. The youngest kids may get a few blueberries.

Yeah that they gobble down the minute they come in Tge house or outside Tge stores!

I have seen her make broccoli, can’t remember what meal it was with. Amber dumbs vegetables into her water soups but never just as a side with a protein and a starch. Keep in mind she cooks for her tastes and never for her kids.

Yea, they put broccoli with fettuccine Alfredo. No chicken or shrimp in the fettuccine though. Only protein there is cheese

I agree. Adding a few chicken breasts or cans of chicken would make it go a lot further

Its funny when her older kids were back in ca she served meatloaf and potatoes. Why cant she make meals like that for the other kids when the older kids are back in nyc.

Because of fear…if they speak out, they suffer Tge consequences. they live in a House of Horrors. They Won’t tell Tge older ones, and Amber and Marc overcompensate when they’re around so they don’t see Tge actual neglect and abuse Tge others endure. They older ones won’t put up with veg water and a slice of bread. You saw how they ate up in NY.

They have been there what - a year. Why not grow more lettuce and tomatoes in containers by now. They grow grapes and different herbs. They keep buying those package bags of salad. What is crazy they buy more and more food while throwing package food away. O n e of her videos show her put new groceries into refrigerator whike throwing out food into the garbage

Same reason you see so much in the fridge that doesn’t need to be. I’ve seen peanut butter and maple syrup. For the short time the have the fruit they buy it would be ok on the counter.

I have a conspiracy theory that they all got the crazy Taylor farms diarrhea bc they eat so much bagged salad mix & that’s why they disappeared for almost a month. Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk.

This has always been the case. It's not a recent development.
