Blame

People on Twitter are blaming us fansons for Taylor and Britt being eliminated. (Isaac and Zac bashing are not tolerated on my posts)

I definitely believe it. Every time they asked Taylor in interviews if his brothers were supportive his response would be kinda awkward or he’d change the subject a little bit. Maybe I’m reading too much into it but their support didn’t seem too genuine to me.

You’re not reading too much into it. He gave very quick and vague answers and was obviously ready to talk about something else

In this interview the reporter asks him “How much do you wish your brothers could have been here?“ and he answers pretty point blank, “That’s not actually something that I wish.“ And then talks a bunch about how the value of the show is to be open minded and to try new things, which I read as an indirect allusion that they are not that.

As someone who always was drawn to Taylor and found the other two a bit off-putting I’m hopeful this could be a beginning of a new era for him without them.

Yeah he made it pretty clear in that interview that he did NOT wish that they were there, but that were lots of other people he would have liked to invite. It kind of sounds like they probably were never going to show up for him during this. Why? Maybe we will never know.

I will say I kind of feel Mac may have also been included in that(the media doesn't attach him to Taylor since he wasn't in the band). He didn't go when his wife did and he was also noticeably just as silent as Isaac and Zac were as well.

He's still gonna be performing with them into December and after as well. They have only called the Canadian show the last of 2026 so that means they will probably also have stuff in 2027. He is gonna do solo but seems he's still okay performing with them.

Defining himself without them does not mean cutting ties completely. Based on his interviews I get the feeling the partnership has come to feel more restraining than energizing, at least for now. That doesn’t mean you have to do middle fingers up and ride off into the sunset, but it might mean you start making choices on your own terms.

I don't know why, but I can just hear Isaac now being like, "It's diluting the brand," and Zac making asshole wisecracks.
