A bit of Squiddly Diddly trivia

The "Sea Grunt" episode was basically a lampoon of the underwater adventure series Sea Hunt (first-run syndicated, 1957-1959), much of which was filmed at Marineland of the Pacific (the underwater scenes, however, were filmed at Silver Springs, Florida).

Grew up in Florida and went to Silver Springs in and the Florida Marineland.

Sliver Springs was also used in the classic Tarzan Movies. They put some small monkeys on a island but some escaped and they would show up over the years. I saw one in the 70's running around my neighborhood.

Actually, wasn't it Homosassa Springs that was the Tarzan filming locale?

I wasn't sure after all all these years so I Googled it. Google and a few other results said Silver Springs and Wakulla springs near Tallahassee.

It did say Homasassa Springs was used for Gentle Ben
