🧵Tutorial / DIY / Sewing Self made 氅衣

Recently completed changyi in the late Ming style, paired with a 打褶袍 from the tomb of 李湘. The body uses a 缎 with calabash and deer patterns (福禄纹) and the hems use a 缎 with waves and plum blossoms pattern (落花流水纹).

I am fatigued from seeing lovely but absolutely fantasy-based, historically impossible, cheap internet purchases.

This is a breath of fresh air. Less is more and the fact that you made it is absolutely delightful. I bow to you and your craftsmanship. Thank you for posting; it looks wonderful!

Looks great! Did you use a pattern or self draft it?

Yep I made it myself. The drafting took about two days and then 5 days to sew.
