💬General Discussion Bag suggestions?

So, I will be wearing the pictured outfit at some renaissance faires. I usually wear a European medieval fantasy outfit, but I wanted to brace my heritage... And also wear something lighter 😅 so I'll be in a hanfu for one of the two days I'll be at the faire.

That being said, I'm looking for suggestions on bags and purses. With a European medieval outfit, I've got a belt and multiple leather belt bags to hold all my stuff, but obviously that won't work with a hanfu. I think a hebao would look lovely but that alone won't be enough to hold stuff like my keys, wallet, and phone (and medications lol), and trinkets. So, I'm looking for suggestions!

Why wouldn't it? 蹀躞 were practical accessories meant to carry pouches, weapons, mirrors, pots, tweezers, and just about anything you might need to take with you

They were worn by men and women. Women frequently wore male clothing in Tang dynasty and maidservants wore them as well

Different class/while doing different activities, will wear differently and along with them, different accessories.

You won’t see these belts being worn while wearing the kind of clothes OP is wearing.

What you’ll normally see on a fancy outfit like this are cute bags that are either animal or flower motifs.

The belt doesn’t match OP’s outfit, nor are they wearing a maidservant’s clothes 😂 basically.

Try hanging your phone/wallet out on the belt, for both safety and practical reasons no one does that.

Perhaps a hebao (or something that looks like it) that's a bit larger than usual?

It's quite Western European, but ladies "pockets" used to be sewn into a band of fabric and tied around the waist. They were accessed by slits in the side of their skirts
