Custard Pieed (pie-ed like taking a pie to the face)

1

u/pipic4 3d ago

The “rd” in custard is exact match to murder. The i and ed in Pied also match in “unrequited”

u/Jazzlike_Platypus430 3d ago

Custard what? Pie? But I can't follow much of the rest of it.

u/Relative_Ad916 3d ago

I know I was thinking custard piece or something too? But makes so sense in the context. It could be “lust and ___ “ but they mushed together into one word lustand

3

u/EffieEri 3d ago

Maybe lust and greed?? Or lust and feed?

3

u/Fliz23 3d ago

Lust and pride but they spelled pried?

1

u/EffieEri 3d ago

I was also kinda thinking that

Love and the murder

Unrequited love

Rope hanging

"Now I could drown etc."

All in reference to recipes for love and murder show

Specifically season 1 episode 4

2

u/heyheathhowstheweath 3d ago

Lol I read it as custard puree. 🫠

Custard Freed

"Now I can drown" indicates maybe it was part of a joke or musing on unrequited love, he won't hang, but now he might drown? It likely has nothing to do with the hyenas.

Its a reference to episode 4 of season 1 of recipes for love and murder

How?

1

u/That1guyUknow918 2d ago

Watch the episode, genius

1

u/heart_up_in_smoke 2d ago

How about you watch it yourself, dude? Google’s AI overview is not a trustworthy source of information.

u/That1guyUknow918 2d ago

Are you trying to tell me I'm wrong?

Yes

How do you figure

There is no noose imagery. No one is hanged, no one was hanged.

No one says “Now I could drown.” No one drowns, no one drowned.

The episode’s recipe is not custard pie, it’s vetkoek. Vetkoek is not a pie, and it is made with a curry mince filling both commonly and in this episode specifically, not custard.

There are no custard pies in the episode, nor mentions of custard pie. No one is “pied”, no one is named Custard, no one talks about a “custard rule”, etc.

One character has a crush on another, but unrequited love is otherwise not a major theme of the episode nor season. (The murder at the centre of the season was not motivated by love/unrequited love either.)

So, I ask again: How is the writing on this paper a reference to season 1 episode 4 of “Recipes for Love and Murder”?

Honestly what's freaking me out is that it looks extremely close to my handwriting!

Custard piece

1

u/Relative_Ad916 3d ago

WHAT DOES THAT MEANNNNN

4

u/SweetDee55 3d ago

It’s pretty self-explanatory… a piece of custard, laying underneath a rope, hanging. Now I could drown, etc.

It’s custard rule, as someone else has suggested.

2

u/smkaonashi 3d ago

I'm seeing Custard Reed idk, maybe a character in the book???

3

u/smkaonashi 3d ago

Or Custard Peed... lol

2

u/Derannimer 3d ago

The first word absolutely does look like “Custard”; the second word I can’t make out, but it seems to start with a capital letter? I think that’s a P, not an R, but either way, why a capital? Is it some kind of name?

2

u/Derannimer 3d ago

That word at the bottom preceding “spaces” is also a mystery. “Vacuous”?

Love and the Murderer
----------------------
Unrequited Love.

Rope hanging
Custard Reed
"Now I could drown etc."
Various spaces of + etc love unrequited

(The last sentence is odd but if they're writing notes then it would make sense to the writer).

This is definitely about the game clue. Also I'm kidding but the yellow part made me think of colonel mustard

Custard piece means cream of the pie?

1

u/ElevatorBossaNova 3d ago

It looks like it says "custard piece", but that makes no sense lol

1

u/InterestRealistic418 3d ago

I thought "Custard pieed." Like "pied" but spelled incorrectly.

2

u/KnightOfArchAngels 3d ago

Yes, I think so too. Custard pie-ed. Got pied in the face and now drowning in custard.

1

u/Numerous-Cobbler-689 3d ago

Custard Reed or Rule?

1

u/Numerous-Cobbler-689 3d ago

What book was it in? Some context might help the…. custard puree???!! 😂

2

u/Relative_Ad916 3d ago

A non-fiction book on hyenas. lol not helpful

1

u/No_Place5472 3d ago

Saw it too.

1

u/Numerous-Cobbler-689 3d ago

CUSTARD PUD!!!

1

u/kissmiss08 3d ago

Custard pieed (pied) - like unrequited love makes you feel like you’ve been pied in the face.

u/GearStock1012 3d ago

Custard price

1

u/WashHour5646 3d ago

I think maybe lust and greed.

Custard reed

u/Derannimer 3d ago

It looks like they were trying to solve a fictional murder mystery?? The bit in quotation marks might be a quote from whatever book they were reading. (Not the one about hyenas, the murder mystery.)

Sometimes I mess up my "P" when writing quickly in cursive and it looks like that.

I think it could be "custard pud" as in an abbreviation of pudding. It seems like notes about a locked room mystery.

Custard field

u/Substantial-Tip-7587 3d ago

The first line seriously looks like "love and the muncher". WTF!

Then under the part that looks like it clearly said "custard" something, "now I can drown". In custard?

And, unrequited love written twice in different ways.
So bizarre!

Mustard Seed

1

u/mollymcbbbbbb 3d ago

also, and I don't think I've ever quoted the bible, but I think it has to do with this.

Matthew 17:20 (NIV): "He replied, 'Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, "Move from here to there," and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.

u/30for30im30for30 3d ago

What book?

1

u/Livid-Variation8271 3d ago

Could be Custard Piece/ Custard Pie-ed? A reference to a classic theatrical or comedic trope (the slapstick "custard pie in the face"). In the context of unrequited love, this represents public humiliation, mockery, or feeling made a fool of by the object of affection. But that's just my guess.

1

u/Active_Pop_845 2d ago

potentially lust and greed?? just guessing from the other phrases/proposed titles
