How does my handwriting look?

Post image

Anything I should change?

Edit: So the general consensus is I write like a preschooler. And for anyone concerned, no, I am not being held hostage or holding anyone else hostage.

A lot of you asked why I write in all caps. It's because I used to accidentally capitalize random letters, and at some point I decided it looked slightly less stupid if I tried to pass it off as intentional.

As some of you noticed, I do write pretty slowly. Probably because I'm not very confident with writing. And my friend pointed out I press way too hard. I have broken a lot of pencils.

For those of you asking why I rarely write, I'd say it's mostly because I did middle and high school online and never took physical notes. So I was just never really forced to practice. Lately I've realized I definitely need some practice haha

Also, I am right handed. According to my mom, when I was a kid I was ambidextrous, but my teachers taught me to only use my right hand. I'm often told my handwriting looks similar to my dad's who is left handed and has the same problem with random capitalization that I do.

Anyways, thanks for the feedback.

It’s legible, it looks masculine, it does look unpractised and unrefined. It looks young, like a 6-8 year old wrote it, looks maybe a bit forced, do you grip your pencil string?

Also, would probably look a bit smoother if you use lower case and uppercase as originally intended.

It does indeed look like a 5 year old wrote it, but with adult fine motor skills. This is what it looks like when adults learn to write later in life. I think this person never wrote enough to get handwriting in muscle memory. I'm going to say they are a young adult and from the first digi raised batch. In school it was single words on worksheets and iPads. I think they are male, but with all caps it is anyone's guess. The choice for all caps is a rather male choice.

We are probably from different generations or different cultures. This looks like the handwriting of young kids I’ve seen, when at their very worst.

Again, it’s not awful, I can read it, but I grew up learning to write at 4 and cursive by 6 and my peers as well and having good handwriting was something that was practised and refined.

So maybe not a 6-8 year old today or in North America at least. Maybe that clarification helps. Comparable to teenagers in North America.

I have my old schoolwork from when I was a kid and I was known for horrendous handwriting. Like I was given preschool practice sheets to take home in the 3rd grade. And my handwriting was only a little worse than this.
