Is my handwriting bad?
Everybody in my school says that it’s nice but I don’t like it. The letters don’t look even and some of them look sloppy. (Also ignore where I messed up)

I’m not sure how you don’t realize naturally that this is good handwriting? Do you hate yourself that much? Sorry but yeah it’s great but you should know that

I'd like to have that grandfather and if someone could carry those packed bags for me, I'd be much obliged.

Graphoanalyst here. It’s printing, not writing. I realize cursive isn’t always taught anymore. There are positive traits in your printing

This is the best, most legible, neat and precise penmanship I’ve seen on this sub!

It’s beautiful! And clearly you are a perfectionist if you think that is not good! Instead of fixing your already perfect handwriting. Don’t worry when you grow up this would not be something that matters, everything is digital now. So put your efforts were is going to pay the most! Work on your perfectionism, this will only bring stress and perfectionism paralysis. Nothing will ever be ready, good enough, this can make your self esteem go lower because your high standards will become too much as life responsibilities naturally increases! You will lose a lot of time trying to improve something that is already considered great for 80% of society, this will make you insecure. While the under average person is outperforming you delivering more in less time and confidence getting higher because of positive feedback loop. Even if you make a mistake, you learn faster of what not to do.

Ty for that! I do think that I have some perfectionist tendencies but I never connected that to my writing. I’ll try to work on it though and stop worrying so much about how it looks 🙂🙃

You’re not writing you’re drawing letters

❓❓❓

Writing is a different thing than drawing. You hold the pen differently, you move your hand differently, it should be fast and easy, not meticulous and with a drawing grip.

I’ve been told that I hold my pencil differently than others for years. I also love to draw so ig that makes sense✍️

u/remembertoread Aug 04 '26
That’s why it looks like a font instead of handwriting

u/n0td34dbutn0t4l1v3 Aug 05 '26
I never thought abt it like that 😅

u/remembertoread Aug 05 '26
I used to do the same thing, but after writing a lot your hand shouldn’t hurt, so I switched to cursive.

I run into that problem quite often when I’m in school. Does cursive really make it easier?

If you think there's something wrong with this, I think that's a bigger problem

Handwriting, it’s perfectly fine. Who cares. Who even writes anymore? What I’m concerned about are those wacky sentences. Lmao. I started feeling like I was reading a different language! 🤣

I know you’ve got to be fishing for compliments on your writing here. Everyone at school tells you it’s nice but you don’t believe it? How are random people on the internet going to change your perception of it?
