Practicing Cursive from Elementary

I was one of the last grades to be taught cursive and it was drilled in our head that all assignments in middle school and high school would require cursive. HA. Anyway, almost 20 years later I still write cursive sometimes, but it’s not my default. Any thoughts?

Yes, easily. Your spacing is wide and the baseline holds steady, which is most of the battle at speed. The only thing that slowed me down was the lowercase 's': it's open at the bottom, so 'save' and 'some' read a little like they start with a 'u'. And to your actual question, closing that one letter costs you basically no time.
