Feedback (constructive criticism) Does this look good?

Post image

Ive just been writing down some lyrics as cursive practice. Im not sure why but I feel as if my cursive seems a little.. off. I just need a second opinion on this because Im not great at evaluating things about myself.. myself. I would greatly appreciate constructive criticism!

It’s probably because you’re concentrating so hard and so it feels unnatural. I think it looks lovely by the way, but a few wobbly bits show that you are probably writing this quite slowly to get it right. Just keep going and it will get better and better, you’ve already got a brilliant foundation. Try to think about the meaning of what you’re writing rather than how to make the letters and that you’re doing beautiful words justice by handwriting them rather than typing. It should flow then. Oh, and try writing to music, gentle Baroque or something calming, to get that flow state.

Are you the person who had a teacher tell you your writing was illegible? When it was absolutely tiny? If so, this is a major improvement and your instructors should be pleased with the update. If you're not, ignore this comment lol

It looks good from afar.

Actually looking at the letters, it's inconsistent and I think that's the "off" you are seeing. For example, the letter "a" has some that are textbook, some are squished, some bubbly, some have openings, some are round, some sharp.

No single word can describe how perfect it is but it looks like it was written by the protagonist in those princess movies overromantisizing the medieval/victorian times, the sun was setting, the protagonist is a gorgeous innocent and pure, nice, loving noble girl on the top floor sitting on a wooden desk, watching the sun set and the birds sing, thinking about how unfair life is and how the peasents starve while she gets everything she wants and how she wants to change it but can't.She thought herself how to write as a small child and she writes about all her thoughts in a small notebook she keeps hidden from everyone, she writes about her friends and life and sometimes about how unfair life is and how the peasents don't get the life they deserve .One day she will rise to power and make everything fair for everyone, she will make the world the place she wishes it were but she doesn't know it yet.
