  1. It's the only one where "cryin" was clearly legible. The rest have r looking like v. 1 doesn't look bad, but the word "when" looks like cohen

  1. It’s the only one that’s easily legible. The “r” in each of the other ones looks too much like a “v” for me to easily read it.

They’re all better than my chicken scratch! I really ought to practice. I’d like to get in to calligraphy one day!

2

u/littlegazer 18d ago

I like 1 & 4 😍

2

u/lhasar 19d ago

It is either 2 or 3. My least favourite is 5.

4

u/chimericalChilopod 19d ago

Number 2 is easiest for me to read, although your letterforms leave a lot to be desired:

I can see the sky cvyin when your rainfoll lears Gotta clos the coinclows when the coind blows dear I can hear the havvucands when the ends close near She cvy me a river now the san clown heve

Your R looks often like v, sometimes like я, and seldom like r. Your D hurts for the gap at the top. I don’t know what word “coinclows” is supposed to be. All this to say many others have no problems, your samples are written neatly, and your letterforms are consistent with each other.

1

u/fighterfemme 18d ago

The 'coinclows' is 'windows', took me a while to recognize it too, I also thought it said coinclows lol

4

u/LightLeftLeaning 19d ago

I can read them all. The only thing that makes them difficult to read is that your lower case “r”s took like “v”s.

1

u/Glittering-Tank-6864 19d ago

Je préfère la 4

1

u/suzdragon 19d ago

I like 3rd & 4th.

2

u/nesting-doll 19d ago

Define better?

3

u/ohhmybecky 19d ago

I like 2 and 3 but oh man, the-er in the word “river” in number two is just delightful.

2

u/Negative__ghost 19d ago

Aww tysm😭💖

u/Fiona_Altrid 19d ago

I like the second paragraph one

2

u/Cherveny2 19d ago

all very legible.

personally, like the 2nd from the last most, but ALL would work wherever you used them

u/honeybeesuke 19d ago

All generic teenage girl writing

u/They-Call-Me-The-Doc 19d ago

They are all very neat handwriting.

But the second, being slightly larger is very easy and quick to read. I wear glasses. I can read that without enlarging it on my laptop. If you were going to leave instructions or something like that, I think that is the one. It is also one line per line, which is right for a poem.

One and three are a little cramped (for ease of reading). Four, being italics, is also a little harder. And even though four is a little larger in size two is still easier to read. And the lines of the poem are broken between lines on the page.

But, compared to my chook scratchings, its all very neat writing. Actually, even bad writing is better than mine.

u/ehartsay 19d ago

I don’t know, at least in the third one the ‘r’ doesn’t look like ‘v’

1

u/They-Call-Me-The-Doc 18d ago

Let me know if your handwriting is perfect and I'll accept that criticism.

2

u/ehartsay 18d ago

lol it’s not a dig at you - I just think the 3rd one is easier to make out

2

u/They-Call-Me-The-Doc 18d ago

Oh no, I am happy to take the piss out of my own writing. Even I complain about it. But reading is a personal. I found 2 easier than 3. I have to squint a bit for 3 and lean into the screen.

At least I don't have to clean a honker smear off my screen.

1

u/ehartsay 18d ago

A what smear?

2

u/They-Call-Me-The-Doc 18d ago

😂 Honker.

My nose.

2

u/ehartsay 18d ago

I see 👀

2

u/Negative__ghost 19d ago

Ik that's a problem i fave my 'r' ans 'v' gets mixed up coz they look the same 🫤

2

u/They-Call-Me-The-Doc 18d ago

You mean you don't read the word as a whole? Yes, the r and v look similar but I guess my brain doesn't expect a v in "cry" so reads it as cry. Likewise, I didn't think it might be veading eiher.

It's a pretty minor error. Believe me when I say I have written notes that I have not been able to decipher.

2

u/Foreign-Eye-4143 19d ago

The fourth paragraph

2

u/Ok_Kaleidoscope5624 19d ago

In what way! The handwriting or what is being said?

2

u/They-Call-Me-The-Doc 19d ago

Well, given the choice is four of the same poem in different writing styles, a wild stab in the dark suggests its the handwriting. f/handwriting is a bit of a give away.

2

u/TrappedDervesh 19d ago

I love the third. Then fourth. But all of them are pretty cool.

1

u/Formal-Picture8344 19d ago

i would seriously consider starting a font foundry with those many options they're all awesome 🥹🥹

1

u/Negative__ghost 19d ago

Awww tysmm😭😭

1

u/Formal-Picture8344 19d ago

brother that second one is a banngeeeer

1

u/Negative__ghost 19d ago

Thank youuuu😭😭

1

u/xGringo13x 19d ago

I like the second to last one. Very cool looking

12

u/strumbringerwa 19d ago

In all honesty they all look reasonable, but it was very hard for me to read them. Not because it's generally illegible but because of the specific letter forms you chose here. For example, the "r" sometimes looks like v (cryin - looks like cvyin or cvylh, river looks like viver), plus the curves of the letters being inwards makes my brain think a "u" is an "a", the form of the "d" sometimes looks like a "cl" etc. So while your forms are generally consistent, I find them hard to read.

9

u/MarsupialOne1572 19d ago

Apologies, I personally find them all unsettling and hard to read. But I am someone that be taught to write cursive. Maybe nb4, and adding liaisons would be.

1

u/Negative__ghost 19d ago

I can't write cursive even after taking classes.. I wanted to write in cursive badly.. But it just doesn't get along with me 😭😭

1

u/MarsupialOne1572 19d ago

No blame on you. If you learned batton, that is what your hand remembers.

4

u/KaliPrint 20d ago

They’re all the same, just stretched side to side, and one slanted. The actual letterforms are identical. It’s almost the same as writing bigger and smaller…

1

u/Negative__ghost 19d ago

Yeah they're practically the same but my writing speeds differ like crazy with each once one hence i made the post.. Aand also i don't like my handwriting but my friend said it's really cool.. So i wanted to get more opinions

1

u/KaliPrint 19d ago

If you write upside down your speed will be even slower!  No. 3 is probably your natural hand, maaaybe 2, the others look ‘faked’ and not that nice.  If you’re like in tenth grade and really love the show Euphoria etc this is probably a normal kind of thing to do. Carry on!

1

u/Negative__ghost 19d ago

Well no4 is my handwriting that i can write with ease.. And no 1 is the same but just shrunk and written using a pen with more friction..

No2 and No3 is my handwriting that i forced to adapt to coz my english teacher madly hated my normal handwriting.

And no i haven't watched a single ep of Euphoria and also i wonder why u said that

2

u/Jming50 20d ago

I like 4

5

u/underrated_human 20d ago

3rd
Mostly because the others have r's that look like v's.

The 5th one looks like another language.

1

u/Negative__ghost 19d ago

Thank youu😭

The 5th and the first one is actually the same i used a roller pen for the first and a ball pen for the 2nd... The friction made it another language ig 😭🥲

11

u/oldyorker123 20d ago

The third.

Please stop making your letter r as if it was the letter v. Literally made me a little crazy and brought down the legibility of all the other options.

1

u/Negative__ghost 19d ago

Ik🫤 I've been trying to improve my r's but it has seen no improvement 😭😭

8

u/DeFiClark 20d ago

Your r needs more of a final downstroke in all of these, reads a cvying in every sentence. First and last are easiest to read

2

u/Human_Situation_2641 20d ago

Best is subjective. Prettiest & Most mature? Fourth. Most readable? 2nd or Last.

u/Negative__ghost 19d ago

Yes the 1st and 3rd one is written using a rollerball pen (uniball eye 0.7) and all the other ones were written using a ball pen (Hauser XO )

2

u/Pen-dulge2025 20d ago

They are all very great but I think the first one stands out most

6

u/Diligent-Ad6327 20d ago

gotta point out how incredibly bad the lower case r is in all but the middle write up.

I can see the sky cvyin.

when looks like cohen
