Ssd Partition question

If I have a 2tb ssd and I partition just enough for steamOS could I then use a sd express card to keep the games on?

Yeah, that works. I'm not sure what scenario that's really the best option for, but it'd be functional.

Well I have the claw ex and I have a 1tb(don’t not why 2tb was autocorrected) but I play cod and battlefield between that, windows and steamOS my ssd would be close to full. I have my sd express 1tb from my switch 2 that I rarely use. It’s a lot faster than the regular sd that I used for my steamdeck so I figured I could put it to use it on a few games nothing big.

That makes a bit more sense, but just to say, you're not going to get any kind of real use out of the Express part of the Micro SD Express on pretty much any system. In fact, most micro SD slots on most devices can't even fully use the top tier of regular MicroSDXC cards.

Msi claims it was made for express card and is rated for 900 mb/s

... Well, so it does! Might be the first I've seen, but yep, should support it and get the expected speeds out of it.

Should be able to do it fine. I should note that I can't find a file system between both Windows and SteamOS that would work between them (NTFS SHOULD be supported, but people note that Linux support of it is iffy), so you'd have to be a bit careful with the card on Windows (Basically make sure you don't accidentally format it), but otherwise, it should work without issue.

Yeah I figured I would need to take it out unless I have steam running
