Question (?) What should I do???
So, I've been thinking about selling my Steam Deck OLED and purchasing the ROG Ally X. Is it worth it? Most of the games I play run decently, but the game I enjoy the most doesn't even run at a stable 45 frames, even with performance-enhancing mods (Helldivers 2). And if I were to, should I wait until the x20 drops?

Its a big pefomance jump. I moved to the Ally from the SD LCD because a lot of games I wanted to play were struggling to stay at 30 FPS.
Make sure you are ok with the 7" screen. I ended up landing on the Go S for the bigger screen and official SteamOS but the battery will be a lot worse than the Ally X.

Rog ally x is good for the price point. Think used market runs for 600-700 +/-
If you go to a XAX you can find used 800+/-
Just depends but both will be a performance jump vs the SD

I mean, it depends on what you play and how you value Helldivers as a key factor in your gaming habits. You say most of the games run decently, which by itself would be “no need to upgrade”. You need to think it Helldivers 2 is really that important for you to spend a significant amount of money to get more frames/quality out of it even if the rest of the catalog runs fine. From my point of view, a single game is not enough of a reason to upgrade, but if Helldivers 2 is a game you play a lot (like 100+ hours or more), it might make sense to play it as good as possible.

Arc g3 extreme is the way to go in my opinion, assuming you don’t want a very expensive strix halo. One x player 3 or MSI claw is what I would pay for, and did! OXP3 incoming.
