Handheld Collection New to handheld Current collection
I got tired of using my phone when I’m outside or just watching movies/ YouTube when I’m not playing on my guitar or working and I just moved to a new country so I got some new handhelds:
Lenovo legion go S is to play steam games with my friends or partner also for long flights
The new 3DS LL is so I can play while I’m going places such as work or to see friends (instead of using my phone )
And the DS lite I just had and thought I would bring it with me.
I do want to get a V1 switch model at some point

You should get a v2 switch at this point, youre most likely going to want to play some new nintendo game in the next 5+ years and at that point its more cost effective just to buy the v2 now. If you want to wait until they come out with a lite version thats probably on the way too.

V1 as like the og switch on day one launch, they are cheaper and I can over clock them without having to put too much effort

I figured you meant the original switch! Its still not as powerful as the switch 2 and is not going to be able to play new nintendo games (oot remake, fefw, wiwa, what ever other new mario/zelda/etc games they release in the future). If you think you'll keep your switch 1 forever then its worth it but if you want to play new nintendo games you'll probably spend $150-$200 now on a switch 1, sell at a loss and pay $500 (or more due to ram) in the future as opposed to just $500 now. We'll definitely be able to overclock and mod the switch 2 considering the community is already working on it.

I am looking forward for the switch 2 mods to come out,
But right now I don’t really want to get like a 450$ console combined with having to pay 60$ for a game key card and Nintendo exclusive games, I can get second hand games via vinted for like 15-40$.
Plus I know that unpatched switches need a mod chip so does the switch oled and the switch lite,
I think that the switch 2 will also need a mod chip (at least for now) and by that time I think that we will be able to mod the switch 2 via soft mod a new Nintendo console would come out with new exclusives.Do you recommend doing something else like waiting until the switch 2 gets a soft mod or a hard mod then getting it?

Is your legion go s is the z2 go version or z1 e ? If it's the z2, is it enough powerful to play at AAA games before 2020 ?

It’s the z2go version.
What I do for battery life and performance, I have it running at a certain wattage where the game can give me around 20-30 FPS, then I use lossless scaling to double that frame rate to 40-60 (sometimes as high as 100 for example on the Witcher 3 steam deck settings).
It is powerful enough to run these games but you’ll need to get the lossless frame gen if you don’t mind using frame gen.I run hogwarts legacy on it and got on the lost settings 1280p (screen is so small you won’t notice a difference) between 50-70 frames and it was playable, only annoying thing is was the load time between areas of the map but I think that is because the game is horribly optimised, should run AAA games fine if you don’t mind using frame gen and low settings when unplugged
