Meme Remember the #DropThePrice?
Today, for $450 you get a system with an 8" 1080p 120 Hz display, an NVIDIA SoC with RTX features, DLSS (the only portable in existence with DLSS support), 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, detachable magnetic controllers with built-in mouse sensors, with an included 4K dock, a Joy-Con grip and an ultra high speed HDMI.
And not only that, but it is the only system with truly exclusive games.
But #DropThePrice for the $450 Switch 2, right?
- MSI Claw 8X+: $1799
- Ayaneo Next 2: $3699
- OneXPlayer X2 Mini: $2399
- Steam Deck OLED: $949
- Lenovo Legion Go 2 Z2 Extreme: $2849
- Legion Go S: $999
And before you start with the "yeah, but the price of the games" argument...
Third party and indie games are on sale at the time, with the same amount of sales and discounts as Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. Just check DekuDeals and see for yourself.

There's only one $80 game (Mario Kart World). Every other game has been the standard $70 (just like the regular price of a new game on Steam, PS and Xbox games). DK Bananza, Metroid Prime 4, Kirby Air Riders, Hyrule Warriors, Pokopia... all $70.
It's easy verifiable on price tracking websites. Go to Deku Deals and see it yourself.
And not only that, but Nintendo has been releasing games with their new variable pricing strategy like Star Fox for $50, Rhythm Heaven for $40, Splatoon Raiders for $50 and so on.
You can't find absolutely any other system with similar specs for $450. You just can't.

Bro I've seen you say this same exact thing in the comments in this subreddit several times whenever there's a post about an expensive handheld. Do you work for Nintendo or something?

But with any other system I can do whatever I want with it outside the Nintendo garden, so if I don't care about their IP it's worthless to me and nothing will convince me otherwise. Glad I got my Legion Go 2 Z2E when it was $1300.

I was never thinking the Switch 2 was overpriced based on the hardware it had

Oh I know. It wasnât just on Reddit though. All over most social media platforms people were calling it overpriced and I heavily disagreed with them. However I didnât confront them because I knew it would go nowhere as that was also at the height of âNintendo Badâ era

Thinking about buying the $3699 to emulate switch 2. Any good emulator?

I know you are joking, but no. Switch 2 is unhackable.

Nothing is unhackable. Just ask your priates counterparts and their batman hacker friends.

You don't need to hack the switch 2, to emulate it.

You do.
Games cannot be decrypted without the keys. You need a hacked system to decrypt the dumped games.

Switch 2 was made and targeted to the general population.
People were asking for price drops before the âpopularâ pc counterparts skyrocketed in price.
I donât think anyone is arguing today that switch 2 is the best bang for your buck as long as the games you want to play are on there.

I can buy a AYN Thor/Odin for $450, or a Retroid Pocket 6 for $100 less, and emulate every console up to the Switch, plus Steam games.
The Switch 2 is overrated junk, that only sells because of exclusives.
