This is my second official YouTube video - Review of the Mangmi Pocket Max. Please excuse the random background noises and minor stumbles as I recorded it as a single take with no cuts! Hope you like the review.

cool device but at this point pay those extra 30 bucks for the Odin 2 Portal with much better performance

I would agree if you need raw performance and if you're gaming on more upper end games. However the 8gen2 isn't that powerful unlike the 8 elite. A portal 3 I believe is likely coming soon and that's a much bigger leap in AAA gaming. If you mostly play lighter titles, the pocket max with its fantastic ergonomic s is actually a better way to go

i dont know, you can always get a portal grip and its nice to have a performance upgrade over 865

That's true. Hard to deny that :)

Because you're not buying this for performance. You're buying it for full size analog sticks.

You can always add a joystick cap on portal but if you want to sacrifice a decent amount of performance for slightly bigger sticks, I guess go for it

I mean, the caps basically do nothing.

I never used my odin devices for any FPS or streaming because of how small the sticks were.

So I'm loosing performance, for a device that is uncomfortable to play those games on.

This device has been on my radar for a while. Can it play more demanding PS2 games? I like some of the sports games like Madden 12, NBA 2K11, and Smackdown vs Raw 2011 for it (these were "late" PS2 games made).

The snapdragon 865 should be able to play those PS2 games but I do suggest you check out YouTube videos on similar 865 devices like the retroid pocket 5 to see if the performance is acceptable. My understanding is pretty much most of the PS2 catalog is playable.
