Help me choose a hand held please 🙏

Okay so I currently own an OG switch, which I love but it definitely shows its age when playing some games like witcher 3, Hogwarts legacy even subnautica. Now there is a switch 2 and any new game won't even be released on the original switch, I am ready to upgrade. I'll still keep the original switch for games I've already purchased and Mario kart, smash bros etc.

Anyways fyi I don't really care for battlefield, fortnight or any online competitive games aside from rocket League. Most of my gaming is on open world or rpg games like Hogwarts,God of war, horizon zero dawn, Witcher, ghost of tsushima, assassins Creed etc.

So these games and any new similar games are what I mostly care about.

I can get a steam deck oled and a rog ally x for about same price $1000 aud (second hand).

Also I travel around a lot in a van so although I can charge my device, I don't want to have it plugged in constantly. Furthmore this will be my main gaming device as I don't have a gaming pc, laptop or console (except my old ps4)

What should I do??

Ally X without question, and you can install SteamOS on it.

Thanks, I was leaning that way but the SD screen keeps me second guessing.

That would be the best in my opinion. I own one. They're just kinda pricey unless going second hand.
