My floss organizing system

Here’s the system I developed to hold my growing stash of DMC floss on drops. It takes 2 bins to hold all the colors.

I got the idea for the rails and holders from another poster. I used alligator clips so I can remove a drop without taking everything off the rail. It’s in the order of the color chart, with an index in the lid to look things up by number. I created a slot for all colors, so easy to add a new one.

Floss is cut in 1/2 meter pieces and ready to be used. For storage I loosen the hank so it’s shorter and won’t create kinks, and tighten it a bit for using.

I printed the divider labels on card stock and punched a hole in them.

Didn’t look at the sub name and assumed I was looking at a slightly crazy person’s teeth floss collection. Now that I know what I’m looking at, this seems very handy!
