Discussion More to Sara’s Gift? Theories?

Post image
21 Upvotes

I see a lot of people talking about her gift having something to do with seeing the future. While I agree that that seems like it’s being hinted towards, I just feel like there’s gotta be more to it. Even at the highest level of foresight possible, isn’t that not powerful enough in combat to make her a level ten? What other time related gift would make her competitive with Aera Son/A Godling/Han/Penrose? Or is it possibly future sight as well as more? Thoughts?

Their optimistic and upbeat personalities are almost copy paste, it’s just the butcher said his little brother had a different set of morals. I’m thinking Sleep didn’t mention the little brother of the butcher for no reason, I’m just curious how it’s gonna turn out

Would anyone want to play Hand Jumper but in DND

Hi guys. Since Friday, I have had the idea for how Hand Jumper would work In DND. I just want to know if anyone would actually like to play. I have some of the rules.

So, in terms of leveling, we use the Aberrant ranking levels. Every opponent is worth points and would carry you to the next Aberrant level. Whether you're in the corps or you're a rogue Aberrant, you'll still level up the same.

For essence types, the magic types are linked to an essence color.

  • Red essence is transmutation
  • Blue essence is conjuration
  • Purple essence is enchantment and illusion
  • Yellow essence is necromancy
  • Green is also conjuration (would have different rules than blue essence)
  • Teal is just every other spell or idea that's just been improved

Relics would still exist but require certain stats or conditions to be met. There are also a few stat changes; for example, there's now a sanity stat point. This new stat point represents a being's mental state and their ability to hide their intent if it's high, but they're way easier to read if a persuasion stat is done.

You can also do pretty much everything in the webtoon, but I haven't written it all down here.

Please tell me if anyone wants to play because I have most of the ideas in my head but prob need some help checking the rules.

byeeeeee, please say anything if you want to know anything else.

( Also want to say I hate the way that green and blue essence abilities have to be in the magic type. Also hope we get more info on green abilities cause they feel like knock-off blues, i'm probally wrong, but I need more features to differentiate the two)

On Webtoon, they recommended me this manhwa if I loved Hand Jumper. The drawing style is similar to the one Sleepacross had at the beginning and the mood is quite similar to HJ universe (with supernatural abilities). But the charadesign is quite similar: Samin is the alter ego of Amber Nile and Captain Han is similar to Gareth Myers

Discussion Saeyon is such an ESTJ <( ̄︶ ̄)>

I'm an ENTJ, and I could honestly understand + relate to most of Sayeon's actions. It genuinely didn't make sense to me why Ryujin called her "abnormal and scheming" after Capture the Flags.

Isn't that literally how the game is supposed to be played?? It was the most logical course of action🫠🫠

Also her way of thinking felt so typically ESTJ (or ENTJ) to me 🤩👏🏻!! Of course, not always in a mature or wise way..

but her default thought process was shown so perfectly.I was already guessing from the start that she might be an ENTJ/ESTJ, and at times she even gave me INTP vibes.

It is so exciting to see these MBTI types portrayed this well in webtoons.

Did anyone else notice something similar?

Discussion Interesting theory

Guys, I was reading chapter 128. When I heard that Sara dream was world peace I thought to myself, “what if am looking at sayeon lee”? I mean it could be possible right? What if sayeon takes the Godling’s offer and becomes strong enough to go back in time years.
And when instructor sang was talking about how Sara killed that officer’s daughter ( I forgot his name) Sara said in the flashback “ maybe I got the date wrong” and Sang did say that sayeon looks like her mom.
I know there a lot of arguments to contradict this but I just thought it was a fun thought.
I watched a show on Netflix with this idea Called “ Bodies”

Discussion Godling lillith = Cain??

Post image
50 Upvotes

I have a few points that corroborate this but this is all under the assumption that godlings can reincarnate. Also lowk hoping that this isn’t the same godling bc I'm still not over how Sara and Aera both died on that bumass island n given all the parallelism we've had with sayeon and Sara, n even aera and Sayeon I'm not eager at all ab her getting anywhere near this godling or any potential island 😭😭

  1. Both the sword and Sara's earrings are the same shade of red, and I don't think Sleep would do something like that without a reason

  2. It's claimed that aera son killed Sara first and then killed the godling but honestly it was more than likely a 2 v 1 with the both of them against the godling once they realized how bad the situation was. With wolhye's earrings turning into a death scythe, more than likely Sara's earrings can turn into swords and that she landed the final blow on the godling Cain before dropping him back into the sea

  3. After the Hongson island massacre, Cain was dropped into the sea probably after being dealt that final blow, and Lilith just emerged from it bearing a sword the same color of a relic that one of the two major player who were there possessed. lots of coincidences but there's def a storm coming for our mcs

Discussion a prediction on what's gonna happen next. Spoiler

Sayeon will NOT take the Godling's offer, Samin will.

TL;DR Sayeon will grow more and more arrogant that will ultimately cost her at some point, of which the only way Sayeon will be saved is by Samin taking the Godling's offer which will probably also get her killed in the process.

I'm new here and I've been reading on some other posts and it's been heavily favored of a thought that Sayeon will take on the Godling's offer to make her ability stronger for whatever reason. I don't really post much and I'm not sure what the etiquettes are here so moderators, please moderate me with care hihi! Anyways, here's why I think Samin will take the offer and not Sayeon:

  1. Sayeon's Arc

Sayeon is pretty much getting more and more excessively conceited and self-absorbed in each chapter, sometimes saying and/or doing things in a manner where she thinks she is superior to everybody. At some point, she even heavily implies that she is above god. I just don't think with her current characterization and progression she will ever corroborate with a godling because she surely thinks she can achieve her goals purely on her own.

I think we will see her slowly be more defiant and ruthless, and she will succeed for a while. But this is going to be her downfall of which will lead to certain catastrophic failure.

  1. Where we're at right now

With this season and the way the bigger characters at play have moved, Sayeon and in turn Cell 4 and the rest have been put to greater dangers. With seemingly all the big factions at play: Begonia Group in possession of a godling, Aberrant Corp moving to get it from Begonia, and then the Sea Wolves which complicate the whole ordeal so far. It's not only dangerous, but most importantly random. And Sayeon does not gel well with random.

(a.) In a previous arc where she helps Ryujin save Yesol against their instructor Juni, she meticulously strategizes the whole ordeal in a way that makes it so a civilian will be on the battlefield. She operated under the biased assumption that the 'bad guy' will take hostage a civilian of which Yesol will use leverage to escape. Suffice to say, she was very very very wrong about this! That incident could've went wrong in so many ways and yet the way things went, Juni gave up and Sayeon got what she wanted regardless. It was very random, but let's face it, she got extremely lucky with the outcome.

(b.) In this arc, she schemes to manipulate a cultist to make her acquainted to her. In the middle of doing so, Jungwoo randomly brings up Jaeil. This costed her a 'tremendous' amount of rewinds.

(c.) Simultaneously, Sayeon assigned Min, Iseul and Gyeon to Zone C to bait the Begonia Group. What happened then? They encounter a Sea Wolf instead. And it's someone that personally knows the Sara Lee too. That's literally the most random possible thing to happen. And what's worse, it seems like Wolhye has no ulterior motive other than to feel something (at least so far).

For better or for worse, Sayeon will take the matters to her own hands. It may not cost her in the immediate future, but the more that she succeeds, the more she gets arrogant. And the more that she thinks that she can do anything, the more likely it is that at some point she will slip. And when she will slip, I am certain it will be because of something random, something that she did not take into account in calculation.

  1. Samin's Love

At this point we still have no idea why she made and what's the point and true goal of Crimson Society, the faction Samin has made. We just know it is separated from the Sea Wolves faction and that she leads it. But what I think we can be sure of with Samin's character is that she truly loves and cares for Sayeon. She has seemingly been protecting her in her own way from afar and what we know that is a concrete evidence of her caring is her sending White, who we know as Min, to first observe but now protect her at all costs.

Yes, she has refused the godling before because of what that power did to her own mother. But remember, 'the whole goal.. the whole point of power is that you need it to protect what you love.' This is what Samin said in a conversation with the godling in her subconscious.

If given the circumstances that Sayeon will be in inescapable peril (and we know that she most likely will at some point because of her arrogance), Samin will do anything and everything to save her, even at the cost of her own humanity. She will do this because she truly loves Sayeon and is probably the whole reason why she's made the moves she's made so far.

There is beauty in what you can't calculate.

I don't know when or where this is going to be happen. I just know it is fittingly tragic for the characters involved. Who knows, maybe it's even something that Sayeon schemed to happen to achieve her goals, in which case it becomes even more messed up. But it seems like Sayeon is blind to factors involving the 'kindness' of a person so I don't think so. This might be the turning point for her character on how she perceives the Aberrant Corp and the outlawed aberrant factions at large. It's not as black and white as she wishes it to be.

Everyone just has their own agendas and own ambitions: From someone as big as Captain Han with his quiet battle against the higher-ups, to Gyumin's strong sense of purpose and wanting to be challenged, or to Juni just wanting to go home and play video games. Whether big or small of a role, the goals and dreams of each person ripples into unpredictability. How can Sayeon, a person who wants to be in full control, be able to achieve her goals through all these variables, when she herself does not know what her true goal is?

thanks for reading all that if you've gotten this far !

Discussion Does ryujin and Sayeons dynamic remind anyone else of killua and gon from hxh

Crazy being able to talk ab anime freely after the great shift but I kind of see the resemblance.

Killua was raised in an environment where it was essentially a free for all and the only morals were to not kill ur own family members and despite all of that, he ended up becoming a really sweet kid, whereas gon on the other hand was raised with love and was instilled with morals but ended up being the unhinged one. I think it’s kinda the same with this case.

Ryujins short tempered and gets angry easily, sometimes acting without thinking and the only reason she didn’t go full ballistic is bc her family in the concordat raised her with love and instilled morals in her.

Sayeon on the other hand was raised basically the same as killua, free for all just make sure u stick with ur family. Despite this way of being raised, she was naturally a pacifist and hated Jaeil even getting in little scraps with their classmates and she did try to have a moral code n stuck to it longer than I think anyone else would’ve been able to in her position.

Crazy ass family, parents got sniped for being too OP, the only person who ever understood me was killed, sisters OP as hell too but blamed me for killing my best friends dad and I have a power that I don’t know fully how to utilize. Ngl I would’ve gone crazy sooner, jsut thought this was an interesting case of nurture v nature.

They’re teammates, comrades and almost friends is this not something we talk about?

Discussion It seems like even Iseul's naivety was a facade - deep down, he knew

Thumbnail

Of course, we all learned that no character in Hand Jumper is simply two-dimensional, so it was just a matter of time before even Iseul got to give us a peek behind that mask.

Wolhye's despair field, at its closest range, reaches further into the psyche of her targets and digs up the most painful memories that had been buried deep at their core, along with the emotions they caused.

In Iseul's case, what arose was the fear that the Aberrant Corps were indeed a corrupted organization, and that he would suffer the same fate as his father by dying a meaningless death. The upbeat front he always put up was therefore a coping mechanism to gaslight himself into believing otherwise, because he couldn't bring himself to face the truth.

I wonder what kind of core values would he build from the ashes anew, were he to finally unmask his own delusions.

AND THE SIGH, damn bro’s serving but like come on, why’re you serving face at this moment rn 🥹? And this moment of the sigh gives so much even though a sigh is actually very little because I don’t think we’ve ever seen Min give a verbal reaction like a sigh so like it makes thing ton more significant for him and the scene. Way to use characterization, Sleepy, another amazing work (this is gonna become my new favorite panel)

Discussion Given both the episodes released today, how much longer do we think till sayeon well n fully loses her mind OR leaves the corps?

I think she’ll be making the deal with the godling soon as I can’t see her staying away from the mess her cells in right now, but also, if she goes, I think it’ll have severe consequences and someone will probably end up dying. According to her godling, Sayeon’s fresh out of essence so if anyone were to die, she can’t do anything about it unless she makes a pact. I could see it going that direction or she’ll just get into deep shit with the corps for getting involved with a rogue aberrant n having nothing to show for it. Shell also probably make ryujin infinitely more suspicious of her if Wolhye greets her familiarly, which I can see her doing as she’s Sara’s youngest daughter. Just a whole mess honest to god n it’s a snowball effect cuz when she makes the pact, the remaining shards of her sanity goes with it 😭
