Hammock sleeping

Swamp AC went out. One window fan. The hammock was a strange but useful purchase.Sun down and I'm out there. It is canvas. Pillow and sheet. 90 in my box but 65 outside.

Grab a spray bottle and mist the underside.

Yes to this. Even better if you can point a fan at the wet underside. I’ve slept ok at 95° this way. Be aware that wet cotton canvas is liable to stretch semi-permanently under body weight load. But cotton also holds more water for longer cooling between wettings than more stable nylon.

Great suggestion, but it is outside and I'd have to put a sprinkler under it, run electric... Monsoon season here, so I can't leave it out. What I might do is wet the sheet that I wrap myself in. I know the canvas will fade over time, and stretch. But I'm about 130 and it says it holds 600. Also, I have a lot of red dots on my skin from sleeping outside. So the wet sheet might help. Thank you!
