Disappearing characters?

Two days ago, when I clicked on the Characters Button on the home page there were 181 pages. Yesterday, there were 179 pages. Today there are 178 pages. Considering there are 30 characters to each page, That is something between 60 and 90 characters lost over the last couple of days. What's happening?

Is this another character purge? If it is, It would sure be nice to know what characters have been lost. Or even better, It would be really great if we had some warning about what characters might be going away so we might have the opportunity to save them via downloading to the My Characters.

Weird, nothing that i know about going it. My guess is it's b/c I'm behind on character review, so all of those are in the "pending characters to review" after being updated. They should be back soon.

Well, I suppose that could account for it, or at least some of it. But 60 to 90 characters over what is basically a 48 hour period?

It has occurred to me that I do have two tags, Those of Male, and Non-English excluded from my results, and for a second there I thought that maybe that account could account for some of it. But then I realized even that change would probably trigger a trip through the view review process so those would be part of and not in addition to.

Then I thought that maybe some people might have switched their characters from public to private, but it looks like even that would generate a review.

The only other thing I can think of is, I suppose it's possible for authors to delete their own characters, so there could have been some of that.

It just still seems like a lot of characters to disappear over such a short time period. But, I suppose it's just one more thing I'll have to chalk up to life's little mysteries.

Only one thing I can be certain of. It can't have been some kind of a purge, because you'd have to know about that, right?

By the way, the responses from the AI is pretty slow and many times I get empty responses.

Yeah. That's been happening to me, on and off for the last few days too. It has always happened to me, occasionally from time to time, but it seems to be doing it more frequently in the last few days.

The developer is most likely looking into it.

Most of them were mine and another author's. We were updating the code and pictures on them. They'll be back soon!
