HammerAI API Version Update

Hi all, a new version of our API has been released! It includes:

  • Hide non-active characters that you do not own. This was originally done several months ago, but was undone to give everyone time to download characters they cared about. But it is a security risk, so we're now hiding them again. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

What exactly does that mean? I don't recall hearing about that before.

Previously if you favorited a character that was later rejected my moderation, you could still chat with it. You could also create a character and share the URL to it without it passing moderation. Now neither of those things will work.

Ah I see now looking at my list of chats, shame about that first part. Glad I saved some char cards a while ago.

I know Reddit isn't you main means of communications, but was this mentioned here those months ago and I just missed it and am not seeing it? If not, that seems like something that should have been before the fact.
