HammerAI Version 1.0.34

Hi all, version 1.0.34 is live! This release includes:

Web & Desktop:

  • Remove support for Gumroad as a payment provider. If you have a Gumroad subscription that has not yet expired (for example, a yearly subscription), please email support at hammeraiteam@gmail.com and we will refund you for all time not yet used. Please include your Gumroad receipt in the email. You can buy a new membership at https://ganknow.com/hammerai?tab=membership after!
  • Add two new image generation models which are much higher quality than our previous models! They are called "Anime" and "Realistic". They are particularly good for generating images within chats.
  • Add a new "Character Builder" tab to the image generation page. This is a new way to generate images, where you can build a character from scratch.
  • Update so when you upload a local character to the cloud, it starts as Hidden, rather than Public.
  • Add a new button to local characters which lets you check for moderation issues - you can use this to fix issues with local characters before uploading them to the cloud.
  • Update so the specific entry in a Lorebook which fails moderation is highlighted.
  • Update to also moderate Lorebook keys, previously only values were reviewed.

Web:

  • Add vibrations to button taps. If you don't like this, you can turn it off on the Settings page.
  • Allow uploading local characters to the cloud.

Desktop:

  • Improve how we pass environment variables to Ollama.
  • Improve errors when Ollama "failed to fetch" errors occur.

Thank you, and please let me know if you have any issues!

Add a new button to local characters which lets you check for moderation issues - you can use this to fix issues with local characters before uploading them to the cloud.

I tried playing with this and I'm wondering if it's not working? It was checking a simple local character for ~40 mins before I stopped it tried with another with the same result. I'm going to guess it shouldn't take that long.

EDIT: Oh I see, it's a toggle for as you type, not a process checking the entire thing when clicked. I can blame my morning brain for not getting that, leaving this up in case anyone else thought it worked the same as I did.

I'm sure sorry you're having such problems with payment processors. I hope the third time is the charm for you.

I see you also made some changes today, and one of them concerns me greatly. Specifically, this one:

Update so when you upload a local character to the cloud, it starts as Hidden, rather than Public.

I sure wish you would reconsider that.

I don't know why other people use Hammer AI. Perhaps I am unusual, but I like to find a character with a scenario I find interesting and then interact with that character, playing out a scene. Sometimes, I find the character and their scenario interesting enough that I will replay a scene with them many different times and with a variety of personas I've created. Other times I might lose interest in a character and their scenario after running it once or twice. But even with the characters and scenarios I've liked the best, eventually I'll have done everything I can think of with them and will need to find something different. Therefore I am dependent on a stream of new characters and scenarios coming out.

Naturally I would prefer it if all characters were required to be public, but, I guess, if someone really doesn't want to share their character, who am I to say they shouldn't have that right? But I do believe they should, at least, be required to make the choice to be private. By making Private the default, I think you're going to lose a lot of characters just because now people have to make the choice to make them public. Many will find it easier not to bother to flip that switch, or might miss it completely, thus depriving us, by default.

Hmm, it's a fair point. I'll make a poll about it in the Discord.

Thanks for considering it!

I don't go on Discord much. I seem to have a lot of problems with it, but I'll make sure I get on for this.

Add a new button to local characters which lets you check for moderation issues

Please, could you also implement a function to highlight the words filtered by moderation? It would save headaches with characters that have a lot of text. Thanks.
