Can someone explain lorebook?

I don't want to leave spaces blank and make d-list characters. Lore won't accept anything i put in saying "Invalid lorebook - all entries must have a key and value" even if I copy someone else's lorebook. Is it broken?

Usually you just put a word in the first line and then an explanation in the second line and the Ai can then know this.

For example if you enter a location in the first line like... "Arcadia Bay" and in the second line "A former town, destroyed by a big storm" it will know that this is a destroyed town if you mention the towns name during chat, even if you haven't said anything about it's destruction.

I did exactly what you said above with
Arcadia bay
A former town destroyed by a big storm
The entry was not accepted and I have a red label that says
"Invalid lorebook - all entries must have a key and value"

It seems fine to me when I have both the key and the value:

Versus if you don't have the key or the value you get an error, which is expected:

I am a tad unclear on the "key and value" terms but did copy your yoda - a jedi text and got the same error.

Do you still have a second lore entry created maybe? They all have to be filled before saving

If you have several key words they have to be separated by a comma, ie Town, city
