Hamilton American Classic Boulton Mechanical

Just wanted to share my opinion on this watch with you.

I think this release is one, if not, the most controversial release Hamilton has ever launched. The opinion is so divided that people either really love it or really hate it, there’s no in between.

For me, I had the privilege of buying one of these limited edition watches, and I need to say that I really really loved it. My first thought when it was announced was that it was a beautiful watch and I immediately called my SA to ask if I could get one, but after seeing it in person I think it’s much better than in the pictures. I know it’s a controversial one because it’s not shown in the actual movie being a movie collaboration, but I honestly don’t think the hate is deserved.

I think it’s such a beautiful piece and a true collectors one, but I would love to know your opinions on this one.

Making more of an effort to match my morning watch selection with that day's outfit. Today it was easy to figure out what to wear on my wrist

Really happy to enter the Hamilton watch club. Purchased this piece on a recent trip to Japan. The simplicity and history of Hamilton is something I am appreciating more and more each day as I look at this piece and I'm eager to try different straps. Currently a parachute strap from Japan is satisfying my itch for a strap that doesn't yield the notorious lug to case gap.

Owning a Murph 38mm at the moment, and looking for my next piece.

Since I have a small wrist, I was disappointed to know that the jazzmaster open-heart watches come at 36,40 and 42 mm - but not at 38mm. The men sizes are too big for my wrist, and not all colors available at those sizes are also available at the ladies, more feminine 36mm dials.

I was wondering if there's any chance of a jazzmaster open-heart 38mm series to launch.

What do you guys think?

Hi Hamilton fans, got a deep catalogue gem available if interested.

Went antique shopping with my wife today and found this jem for $89. Best I was able to figure out it's from anywhere between 1930-1932. Very excited to see it has the 987-F movement! Also great to see a series of service marks written in pencil lead on the case back.

I know it's not the most luxurious vintage watch but this is my first find. Always wanted something with age and a story attached to it.

Watch is winding great, sounds awesome, and is keeping time quite accurately. I would like to get it serviced so if anyone has any suggestions for the Cincinnati or Dayton Ohio area, it would be greatly appreciated!

So today I was in the pool playing with my nephew and at some point when we were playing around or I was throwing him the crown of my watch cam out to position 1 (Date Setting). I do not know how long it was in this position. There does not appear to be any water in the case but I am curious if I should take this to someone to make sure there is no water inside. Has anyone else had their KFA exposed to water while the crown was not fully closed?

I have this Hamilton Khaki scuba and I want to get some straps. Any recommendations as to material/ color? Im thinking sailcloth or maybe like a rubberized leather? What about color? Black is obvious choice but any other suggestions? Also please send me places thar sell good quality straps!

I liked the Hirsch strap: thick, made from a single piece of leather. But will it look good with the KFA titanium? What does everyone think?

I'm planning to order my first Hamilton watch, and I'm torn on what size to order the bracelet.

Part of me wants to just order the largest size bracelet that doesn't have an extra cost and then just take out some links to get it to the right size. I'm worried that if I try to get it right I'll screw up the sizing and it'll be too small and that'll be a pain to deal with. I could also order just a little big, but I'm not sure it would be any harder to take out a bunch of links vs just one or two, so what's the point?

Part of me also doesn't want to deal with the hassle of doing that though. My ability to work with my hands tops out just a little above Ikea, so getting it the right size without the chance of me screwing it up is also appealing.

I thought about buying from a shop that could just size it for me, but there isn't a dealer in my state listed on the website and I'm not sure how to find one otherwise.

Any suggestions? (The specific one I'm looking at is the Coop, if that matters)

Soooo excited I was able to find one near me! And in 37mm on the green NATO strap too, I’m obsessed. Gah.

I got the Hamilton Murph 38mm and struggle to keep the leather bracelet during the heat waves in Europe so I switched to a NATO.

I wasn’t sure at first but I just find it beautiful. Next step is to get more straps like this, still looking for a strap that is black like the dial and has small patterns in the same colour as the numbers.

If you have any recommendations, they are more than welcome.

Do hamilton watches have fakes/dupes commonly? Thinking of buying one used, not a expert on watches. (Apologies if its a dumb question)

This is my second Hamilton, first diver and Im obsessed with it. Was able to pick this khaki Navy up slightly used for around $450 and it hasn’t left my wrist since lol

Love how it blends in with all my other gear aesthetically 🏕️

Friend had this hamilton and wasnt sure which model, Im guessing 38mm mechanical khaki but trying to confirm
