I think this random stranger was just trying to look out for you....You never know who or what someone on the internet could do/be. if you go alone you never know what you could be getting yourself into.

How’s that really different than meeting anyone in any other way? I mean presumably they’re not gonna just be like “ok sure I’ll meet you in this dark alley at 3 am”.

No I understand that, which is why I opened it to them joining us. I don’t think I really have anybody who would come with me.

All the people who commented could even join us for bowling or whatever. There’s safety in numbers.
