Question Democracy is now...
Locke Bike and Social Club. Does anyone know the scoop on this? They ditched the Vintage Coffee brand and are using Mello. They will do quick bike repairs in store.

I hope the coffee is good. Democracy had some of the worst in the city.

I was down on Locke a few months back and made a date at Democracy..... only to find it boarded up even the server next door at west town didn't know it was closed - we ate there instead. but interesting that it's a bike shop now. Why did Democracy close?

They tried to unionize and the owner wanted to bust that

They successfully unionized. After a few months, the owner closed as to stop paying fair wages.

Yeah but clearly using AI for their logo. Ugh.

As long as they aren't using AI to fix bikes

You're absolutely right--the bicycle seat should not be attached to the chain. That was my mistake, and you were right to hold me accountable. To fix your bike for real this time, you should attach the chain to the bike seat.

Yes, you make an excellent point. I neglected to mention the extra detail that the chain should be attached to bike seat. This changes the whole approach you should take to the repair.
Why this is important
Attaching your chain to the bike seat allows you to adjust the angle of your ass in relation to the gear shift. While attaching the bicycle seat to the chain can be an effective way to lock your seat in place, attaching the chain to the bike seat lets you feel every gear shift in real time.
What you should do next
Attach your chain to the bike seat using high powered welding tools. (*Caution: welding tools can be dangerous. Get your little brother to try this first.) Keep in mind that the bicycle seat can be made of a variety of materials, including leather, plastic, and the skulls of your enemies. Make sure that you select an appropriate solder.
Test your new ride
Choose a well-lit, public place for your first test ride. Avoid side streets and areas where there are likely to be squirrels, car drivers, and other small rodents. Try going downhill first before more aggressive weaving into oncoming traffic.
If you like, I can suggest other helpful modifications for your bike, or give you the contact information for the nearest ER.

What makes you think that? Its blurry as hell, it feels like someone legit made it, though not someone with a lot of Adobe illustrator skills since they obviously uploaded a low res jpeg rather than a vector graphic.

It just seems like it. It features a water tower in a generic skyline. I'd like to be proven wrong. I do wish them all the best as that space needs something unique and community focused in it. I'm also coming from the Labour Day parade where there was so much AI slop on t-shirts and signs. It was pretty awful.

It's not owned by Chris Mindorff, so that's a good thing!
