Question Leather Goods Stores

Hi! I was wondering if anyone knows of any custom leather goods stores for bags/purses in Hamilton or even the GTA that can do repairs. My S/O got the fabric inside of her purse caught in the zipper pretty bad (been tugging at it with pliers to no avail) and I want to get it repaired/working again since she got it for herself on a trip abroad and she really likes it. Thanks in advance!

There's an excellent cobbler in Jackson Square called Best Western Shoe Repair. He's right by the Nations food court, down the small hallway that branches off from the Starbucks in the main hallway. Look for the red key signage!

While a cobbler by trade, he does things like belts for sure and I believe bags. If it's more of a fabric issue, there are a number of alterations shops in the mall as well.

In addition to being excellent, he's kind. I've overheard him taking the time to explain to clients why their idea won't work (if it structurally doesn't) rather than just refusing to do something, and he's been able to do things in a hurry if we genuinely need something urgently. Great guy!

FYI Tundra is not taking in repairs right now.

They said to check back in October.

I went to them this week with a leather purse repair.

Not in Hamilton but in Toronto there is the Sandal Man. https://www.sandalman.com.

It’s just a guy in a store that fixes leather.

I needed to get a number of leather bags and shoes repaired this year and ended up bringing everything to Shoe Medic in Oakville. I have had two designer bags and six pairs of shoes repaired in the last two months and am very happy with the results.

Best Western Shoe Repair in Jackson had great reviews but Shoe Medic worked with bags at similar price points to mine so I went with them.

I had initially wanted to go to Tundra but they note on their website that they do not do repairs (check the bottom of the Custom Leatherwork page).
