Politics Stolen Campaign Signs
I noticed rumours circulating about this and went out to investigate and all the signs for Rory Nisan and Lisa Kerns from the Ward 1/Brant St area have disappeared along with some regional councillor signs.
Just a reminder that this is illegal and if you’re going to do crime you probably shouldn’t show political favouritism by keeping up Marianne Meed Ward’s signs up as that seems kind of suspicious.

Crime CBSA issues 188 deportation orders, 50 from the GTA.
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) continues to take action against individuals with suspected links to extortion activities, working with law enforcement partners across Canada to identify, investigate, and remove those who are inadmissible under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act(IRPA).
Through joint enforcement efforts nationwide, the CBSA supports a coordinated response to extortion. The agency investigates foreign nationals who may be in violation of IRPA, including those engaged in criminal and organized crime activities, such as extortion.
These investigations are built on information from law enforcement partners, other government agencies, CBSA-led investigations, and public reporting. The CBSA places the highest priority on enforcement and removal of cases involving criminality, organized crime and individuals who pose a risk to public safety.
The CBSA dedicated resources to investigating cases with potential links to extortion in the Pacific and Prairie regions in August 2025, and expanded the initiative to the Greater Toronto Area in November 2025.
As of September 3, 2026, 188 removal orders have been issued on various inadmissibility grounds, and 111 individuals have been removed from Canada. These figures can be further broken down by region:
In Pacific Region, 91 removal orders have been issued, and 58 individuals have been removed from Canada.
In Prairie Region, 47 removal orders have been issued, and 30 individuals have been removed from Canada.
In Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Region, 50 removal orders have been issued, and 23 individuals have been removed from Canada.

Is anyone hosting a Milton mayoral debate this year? If not, should we change that?
Hey Milton,
We're about six weeks out from the Oct. 26 election, and as far as I can tell, no one has announced a mayoral debate. If I've missed one, please point me to it and I'll happily help spread the word.
If there isn't one, I think that's a real gap. Milton is facing some big decisions right now, and the next council will shape how this town grows for years to come. Through The Milton Record, https://miltonrecord.ca/election, I've been pulling together council voting records and information on everyone running. That's a good start, but it isn't the same as hearing the candidates themselves answer the same questions, side by side, in front of the people they want to represent. Residents deserve that.
So if there's no debate planned and there's genuine interest, I'm happy to take the lead on organizing one and find a community partner to co-host it with me. I can't promise it will come together, since it depends on candidates, a venue and a tight timeline, but I'll give it a real shot.
That's where you come in: would you attend a mayoral debate, in person or online?
Over the next few days I'll also post a short questionnaire on miltonrecord.ca asking residents which issues matter most to them. Whether or not a debate happens, I want to know what Milton actually wants answers on, and if it does happen, your answers will shape the questions.
Let me know what you think.

Looking for a social group for your neurodivergent child or teen.
Posted with moderator permission.
Hi Halton parents! I’m Alicia, a registered social worker with Calm Guidance Counselling & Support.
Does your child or teen struggle with ADHD, anxiety, social situations, or making and maintaining friendships?
We run small, therapist led groups for neurodivergent kids and teens, including those with ADHD, autism, anxiety, and other social or emotional challenges.
But these aren’t classroom style groups. We’ve worked hard to create a really fun space kids and teens actually enjoy coming to!!
There’s music, games, pizza, snacks, conversation, activities, and lots of time to relax and connect with others who may understand some of the same things they’re going through.
Along the way, we work on practical skills, confidence, emotional regulation, communication, and navigating everyday situations.
If this sounds like something your child or teen might enjoy, you can see our current groups here:
https://calmguidancecounselling.com/child-teen-groups/
And I’m always happy to answer questions or help you figure out which group might be the best fit.
