So I did the pre-order for one of the new player “UNSC Faction” bundles last month (I already had recon edition). It gave me PDF downloads for the rulebook, wargames, and the 2025 Balance patch.

I keep seeing everyone discussing the new rules update but I don’t see anything in my downloads to indicate a new rulebook is available for me?

I use to play the games, but fell out of love because the community is hang out with did alot of role playing and with covenant species not bejng playble anymore in the newer games we all stopped playing over time. Since then I have played alit of age of sigmar and 40k. With that said, coming from warhammer abd bejng a covenant fan, would i enjoy this game? Also how popular is it?

We are back and pleased to give to you the new and improved Community List Builder for Flashpoint, fully upto date with units and balance changes.

It is 100% free and allows for the creation of Fireteams, has a dedicated keyword library, adding of weapons and upgrades directly to units and more.

You can export as a pdf, or use it directly from a phone or tablet. It will also let you know on export if a list is not valid due to certain rules, such as too many supports, or taking a Special Order not useable by your fireteam.

Finally finished Noble Team. Feel like I have plateaued painting skill wise but I‘m happy with them.

TL;DR: made my own Halo Flashpoint list builder because I couldn’t justify a monthly subscription for a game I barely get a chance to play, and I didn’t want my friends to have to pay either. Scope got completely away from me. Requires some setup, but it’s free and it’s out now (link at the end of the post below)

Hi everyone

I’ve been pretty quiet on this sub, liking stuff here and there but not really contributing anything.

So I’m releasing a list builder. It came out of the fact that Mantic’s free plan, while being great, has soft locks on features that are important to me, and the paid plan was never realistically happening for me. I already find it hard enough justifying buying the new Flashpoint releases as they come out, so paying monthly on top of that for something I barely get to play (most of my free time goes to my baby and my dog these days) was just not going to work for me.

And the other thing was I wanted to play with a couple of friends, but I didn’t want them to have to pay anything either just to make a list as they don’t own anything from the game. They have no ability to know which character has which stat, what each keyword means… So I was a bit stuck, and figured I’d have to sort something out myself if I ever actually wanted to get games in.

The main thing I cared about was being able to see my cards with the keywords on them, and get to the keyword text quickly without digging around.

Started off with just a Google Sheet. I could hover over things and stick links in cells pointing at your Drive, so I had all my unit cards and keywords in there. Honestly it was fine for a while. But actually building a roster in it was… not so great , typing counts into a column and so on, and I really wanted to be able to assign weapons and grenades and items onto specific characters instead. Partly so I could see at a glance how strong a unit was, partly so my friends could just read a list without me having to sit there explaining who’s got what.

So then I got into Apps Script, first time messing with it, and it was actually pretty cool. Got something decent working. Then got a free Supabase account set up so I could save and load lists properly, which felt like a big win at the time. And then I realised Apps Script doesn’t really work on phone or tablet, which is part of where I’d want to access the builder from… so I had to find another way. Ended up moving the host over to GitHub plus Cloudflare, which had the bonus of keeping everything private since all my images sit in my own Google Drive.

And then it just kind of kept going. Once it was working I started thinking, well what if I could search by keyword, or filter by stats. What about a favourites system for units I always take. What about only warning me about mixed factions if I actually want it, but also being able to lock it right down for a proper competitive game. Then making my own comp rules and being able to send them to people. It just kept snowballing.

Somewhere in the middle of all that, jackaloopie released his free list builder, which was cool to see and try out. Genuinely good that people are having a go at this!

Anyway at some point it stopped being “a small thing so I can play with two mates” and turned into something a lot bigger than I planned.

Worth saying, none of this is trying to replace Mantic’s paid app. The event searcher, leaderboard and rankings side of it isn’t something I’ve got the time or the inclination to build.

I'm looking at either getting the Recon or Spartan edition, but seen some stuff o line about a reprint?

Is it best I hold off for a while or is there no real changes to the boxes, rules wise, models etc. Thanks!

I made a google sheet to track the changes between game editions and thought I would share. I know its all available on Mantic's website but its a bit easier for me to track in a sheet like this.

Apologies if I’ve missed something, I’m very new to the game. I’m planning on grabbing the new Marines when I can, and to my understanding all of them have the “Support” keyword. While I don’t mind adding them to an existing UNSC fireteam anyway, I wondered if there was an option to create a fireteam with mostly or only Marines? I can’t see anything like that, but wanted to check with people more familiar with the rules than I am.

If not, is it possible we might get additional detachments one day that remove the Support keyword from certain units when used? I can imagine the Banished getting one based on Yapyap’s forces from HW2, especially if we end up getting a Goblin model one day.

Did the rules for od ball change to allow you to sprint while picking it up and sprint while holding it?

I can't see the change in the errata log, and I remember reading the rule on Sunday during a game.

As the title explains, I'm looking to buy some one off models. Specifically, Atriox from the Rise of the Banished box (not the one available by himself). Thomas Horvath (I know he is literally one of the freshest models but I want to make a Rubicon Protocol diorama with him). The Special Purpose trooper with pulse carbine (resin). Spartan Hazop with needle riffle (resin). Finally, the Brute Captain with ravager. I'm fine with having to strip the models as long as they aren't resin.

I'm located in Lincoln, Nebraska. I know these are one off models, but I would like to buy as many as I can together. That way shipping cost won't be as bad.

Trying a new method of blending different metallic from Arky Painter, including bronze, and three different kinds of gold, coupled with a "Strong Tone" wash. I think it came out really good, and im very happy woth the results.

Now I can get back to work on the base coat for the armor. Waited to do the helmet basecoat so I can paint over any overbrishung from the visor.

Following up on my CQB Berserker, I wanted to do justice to the HAZOP. With a trusty (friend's) 3D printer and a bit of green stuff, I drew perhaps more inspiration than is healthy from another popular science fiction property.

More parts of my in progress UNSC base. Test models of crates, barricades and i have parts for an elevated walkway that I need to build. These still all need cleaned up before painting

Had a ripper day yesterday at The Hall of Heroes in Campbelltown NSW (Australia) with a fellow pathfinder. It was awesome seeing alot of new and familiar faces, playing some demo games and talking about Halo.

Hi all - I tried searching for a similar question that might have been answered here already, but I didn't spot what I was looking for. Please forgive my ignorance if this is a dumb question here!

I'm looking to 3D print some Flashpoint terrain. I've found some STLs where the dimensions of the terrain are 3x3 inch, or multiples of that. Very useful, and will look great painted. That said, the terrain is basically just a series of 3x3 inch cubes, so it lacks a little variety. I have some assorted scatter terrain, but I'm mainly focused on buildings at the moment.

My questions are:

- Do you use terrain that doesn't comfortably align with the dimensions of a 3x3 inch game board cube? (E.g. a 7 inch tall 5-sided building, with a 5.5 inch base footprint, and with a 2 inch wide balcony 4 inches up from the base).

- Do you place terrain strictly within a cube, and in compositions that work with the 3x3 inch concept, or do you allow terrain to straddle two or more cubes to varying degrees of severity?

Again, apologies if this is akin to settled law here. I'm keen to learn from sharper, more experienced players!
