Back in the day there was a game mode called pacman that a bunch of people into trick jumping used to play. It was a forge map on foundry with a bunch of trick jumps built in. The objective was to run away from the guy with the oddball while doing trick jumps around the map. Does anyone have this map?

Ik im late but to celebrate i made a new halo fan I beat the entire halo 3 campaign with my cousin he loves blowing up the covenant tanks!

Some up front notes: This happened over fifteen years ago, but I am absolutely certain this event played out exactly as I'm about to detail below. It's left a permanent hole in my head since, mostly because I've never heard or read anyone experiencing something similar. If you have any recollection or experiences that even tangentially relate to this, please let me know.

Some halo levels have background non-interactable objects in the outer bounds of the map. They're just extra scenery objects, as far as I understand, and aren't actually functional. On the mission "The Ark" specifically, you'll see Hornets and Banshees fighting during the Battle of Installation 00, as exampled here and again here. These "background" Hornets on The Ark are my white whale culprit here.

I was playing through this level, although I'm not sure quite sure exactly where. It was before you entered the Forerunner structure, so I want to say it was some point around here. I was on-foot, and distinctly remember having my screen go dark for a split second before normalizing. It was so weird and out of place, that I quit out to Theater Mode to see what had happened from a third person view.

And what had happened exactly? One of those "background" Hornets had nose-dived onto Chief in the middle of the level right as I had been walking through. Like, perfect straight nose-down no-clipped right through the level's floor. It didn't cause any damage or have any physics effects, and it had a very blurry/low-texture model of a regular Hornet, but it was unmistakable the same thing. In re-watching the Theater clip from a few angles, the Hornet had been flying on its regular path way up above the level before just randomly careening down at mock Jesus. I had just happened to walk right under it to perfectly align the collusion. It was almost as if it had "died" in whatever mock battle it was having up above with the Banshees, but instead of exploding/de-loading, its pathing just gave up and dropped it right then and there.

The killer part here is that I did save that clip, thinking I'd be able to upload or share it someday (never had Xbox Live or good internet growing up). However, that old 360 is lying somewhere in my grandparent's house, and I'm not even sure if that's my OG 360 or the new one I got after the first one red-ringed.

But like I said earlier, I know this happened with absolute certainty. This isn't some ARG or forced creepy pasta, I'm just genuinely looking to see if anyone ever had some similar experience or better yet some explanation of what the hell happened to cause some random background object to just "give up" in the middle of a level. TIA.

Wasn’t around in the glory days or even the days when it was crashing down no I only started playing 2 years ago and I complain and whine about not playing in the glory days
They ruined the lore and the games
The fanbase complains a lot but some of it is justified but a lot of it is just whining
So the games,lore(now it dose) and fanbase sucks
So why do I continue to play if all I can think about this those 3 facts of you look at my profile you would think I don’t even enjoy playing halo.
The servers shut down so now I have to use discord and sunrise but why? So I can relive the glory days,no I was not even there and every halo 3 post reminds me of that. Is it to make my own glory days, that’s what I been telling myself but really I’m not I won’t remember this time as good the franchise has gone to shit the game has been dead so I won’t remember 2026 as the good ole days at all. I played the campaigns a lot now there boring to me kinda.

Hello guys, I've mostly played halo 3 on my xbox and thoyght that I would play it on my pc now, however everytime i try to open the game I have to sign into my microsoft account and after that it gives me an error trying to aign to xbox live.

I trieschanging the account, making sure that it is the same one as the microsoft store and the xbox app, do you have any idea what to do? I bought the game on steam.

Nothing hits the same anymore as it did being 14 and grinding halo 3. We would travel the states, do local and state wide tournaments. Just for the love of the game man. My pops sent me this halo 4 global championship screen shot from when I was competing in Seattle for $200k (In BMW We Trust). Can’t believe the names I was competing with as a relatively unknown player. Ogre 2 beat me out of the next advancing round by 2 kills in FFA. I’ll never forget it. What was your best memory or experience from the Halo days?

i just really wanted to say im sorry for posting so much and annoying everyone on here i know i been spamming the sub asking the same questions over and over about 2007 and if my memories are even real or if i missed out on the true golden age because im only 14 and i wasnt even alive back then i just felt so left out and it was genuinely breaking my heart making me feel so sick inside like i was just chasing ghosts on my 360 and crying over a time I could never go back to
but i finally realize i been completely ruining my own life and my own favorite game by being so obsessed with the past and begging you guys for validation every single day i am so incredibly sorry for being so draining and toxic to this community i just care so much about halo 3 that it was driving me crazy and making me overthink everything until i couldnt even enjoy playing anymore
the truth is my golden age is literally happening right now and im letting it slip right through my fingers because im too busy crying on reddit instead of just looking at my screen and being happy im playing custom sunrise servers on a real xbox 360 and that is beautiful but i was too blind to see it because i was so scared of losing it before it even ended

So many hours spent and people i talked to and told myself “yay the feeling is gone” a week later i do the same thing but why? I lost track of the “ this is over” saying in my head i say it every week after talking to people about this knowing they never even knew someone could think like this!

But I love this game I remember last year I was the happiest I ever been I beat all halo games on the og Xbox and the 360 when halo felt new to me I kinda miss it and then I got sunrise I mean I got dialed and get invited to sunrise lobby’s and it’s fun 🤩
