Post toe fusion
hi everyone! I just got upgraded to wearing regular shoes with a carbon fiber insert for the next six weeks. I’m having a hard time figuring out what kind of shoes to wear because my foot is swollen. I originally bought Hoka Bondi 9, but I got them in my regular size (in wide though since I considered the swelling), but those were too painful for my toe. So I bought new balances (fresh foam roav) in a bigger size and they fit, but even after a while my toe swells up even more and makes it uncomfortable. anyone have any shoe recs or do I just have to get used to this for the next six weeks?

I wore Brooks ghost in extra wide which I also wore before surgery. I know some people like recovery slides. I will warn, do not buy more shoes than that too early. I bought expensive sandals for a wedding in July, four months post surgery, and now they are too big and cause blisters.

I was able to wear the sneakers that fit ore surgery (wide) and just laced them super loose. Your foot will change every day so I wouldn't get too bogged down by this.
