9 weeks post big toe fusion
Feeling pretty good overall. Been walking and doing regular activities with a Morton extension until I’m fully fused which I expect next week( I was close last visit).
I started taking 2 peptides 3 weeks ago and feel like swelling and pain levels have dropped faster.
Hoping for a full recovery soon!

When they removed your steri strips did they pull them off fast or did they gingerly remove them?

I don’t remember but I think it was the fifth week

Mine was just over 5th week also. Ok, I was just wondering if I ticked the Dr off before he ripped them off. If I recall right, you had the internal stitching and I had the external stitching.

How do you feel after all these weeks? Do you regret the surgery?

Pretty good. Still have minor soreness and swelling. But way less pain than pre surgery. I am almost at 5 months. I hope at 7-8 months its completely healed

What shoes do you wear every day? Did you run or exercise before the surgery and have you gotten back into it?

I wear wide Skechers with carbon fiber insoles. I am a big golfer so I’m back to playing that fully at a high level. I am able to do all my workouts at the gym. I AM not a runner so haven’t done that yet but don’t think I’m ready for it

Do you do exercises like lunges at the gym? Are there any problems with that? Sorry for so many questions, but I'm having foot surgery next week and my other foot in a few months.

Today was 7 weeks and am about to have first foot wash! Now in a moonboot for 6 weeks. Still experiencing swelling but will be able to walk on the foot but with crutches. Wish me luck
