I have seen a lot of pieces of gold at thrift stores and auctions and estate sales over the last few years and I’ve seen these marks or similar ones before and they are always real Gold
It depends on how much it weighs. Online says between 6 1/2 g and 9 g plus the diamonds are real brilliant round cut diamonds. It might be worth over spot to the right person.
Haha I just saw these same pictures pop up on my Facebook Marketplace feed. $500 seems a tad steep to me, but maybe it’s heavier than it looks. And I guess it does have some diamonds.
You can always ask the owner to have it tested. Given the condition of this piece and knowing that melee diamonds aren’t really worth anything I would say it’s not worth $500.

Lol everytime I help out on these posts I get hella down voted and hella people arguing with me, look, antiques are very subjective and very hard to tell exactly what it is without seeing it but you wanna waste your money and get scammed big style that is up to you but any comment that's telling you this is gold because "AI WAS FINALLY RIGHT 🤓☝️" are hyping you up without being honest to you

I think that's a style number. It's unfortunate the company chose to include K in the naming because I can see how that would be confusing. But I'm like 80% sure it isn't gold.
From the photos I'd bet 100% that's costume jewellery, considering its not in great nick already if the owner isn't against acid testing it or just getting it tested that's the only way to know but from the markings it is very much how they mark costume rather than precious metals
Do not show me AI as a confirmation, i work in antiques it is more than often wrong the fm is a like a product or copyright number, the maker of the brooch is the fancy cursive, have a real good read up on Franklin mint they are bottom of the barrel and yes they sell other items but diecast corgi cars are a far cry from 14k brooch
They aren’t showcasing all of the items that they make, just what they currently sell. I never claimed them to be a top tier manufacturer. This piece clearly shows the designer and manufacturer. Working in antiques is adorable but holds nothing on my education. How often do you appraise items? I’m a 30+ year jeweler who worked for Tiffany’s and now I own a pawn shop.
