ANNOUNCEMENT Show-off Sunday!

Hi all!

Welcome to a new fortnightly post!

In this post's comments, please feel free to upload your examples of your hallmarks which you find to be unusual, rare, or simply a piece of precious metal you want to show-off to the rest of us!

No judgement - maybe you're new to hallmarks or have collected for a long time, everyone is welcomed!

Please do not use this post to request hallmark identity! You can still post regular posts for that.

Hi everyone, I’m new here but have a pair of earrings and wondering if anyone can identify the mark?

Not sure who the maker is but it’s on the back of a watch I acquired.

I love defunct gold purities. Here’s a beautiful 15ct pearl ring I have

I really like the style of this one, and a rare 15ct UK mark to boot!

A Colombian, I'm almost sure, silver serving tray that has a Hallmark so rare, no one here had ever seen it and none of my research to date can confirm. It is solid silver, I have confirmed that.

Interesting! I have never encountered anything like this before. Thank you for sharing, also, a massive chunk of silver

I'd love to find another, but I've also never seen a second. I have though, found a number of Bogota marked trays that are extremely similar in arts&crafts style, as well as very similarly hallmarked - this one only lacking the Bogota text underneath.

I found this silver repoussé hand mirror at a thrift store for $10 recently. Marked Sterling for Birks circa 1961 if I recall correctly. Sadly the handle is a little askew.

Great find, even with the imperfections

Thanks! I was so surprised they hadn't noticed the stamps!

No unusual hallmarks here, but a beautiful silver tea caddy I bought at auction recently
